About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Fire Suppression System project at Edwards Air Force Base. The Q&A addresses three key contractor inquiries: (1) a request for full architectural and structural plans to prepare an accurate proposal, with the response directing contractors to the Sprinkler FP-104 Document in Sam.gov, (2) a request for documentation on device quantities for building 1030, again referencing the same Sprinkler document, and (3) confirmation about lift equipment access for fire sprinkler inspection in the RAM building. Regarding the third question, the response confirms that contractors will be allowed to use boom lifts to reach sprinklers at the chamber's +/-75 foot height, with the site providing clearance, open doors for equipment entry, and an escort during the inspection.

FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM Q&A

1. To ensure we can prepare an accurate and competitive proposal that aligns with your budget, we kindly request the full plan set for the project. Specifically, the Architectural and Structural plans are essential for us to provide precise pricing. Are you able to provide the plans?

- See attached Sprinkler FP-104 Document in the Solicitation in Sam.gov

2. Is it possible to provide any documents identifying device quantity for bldg. 1030? (Ex.

Previous inspection report, or Fire Marshall form).

- See attached Sprinkler FP-104 Document in the Solicitation in Sam.gov

3. Are we going to be allowed any lift equipment into the RAM building to inspect the fire sprinklers? If not, how will we get to the sprinklers that are at the ceiling height? Please advise.

- Yes. The last contractor that came out rented 2 boom lifts that would reach. Chamber height is +/-75 feet. We would clear out all the ram in the area for inspection. Open the doors for them to drive the equipment in and we would have to escort them while they are in the chamber.
