Question and Answer

Q: FAS8700 CONTROLLER UPGRADE. Is there any other information on this?

A: We're looking to upgrade our existing NetApps storage controllers as the existing equipment is going End-Of-Service. We have two controller chassis, and that model is what we'd like to upgrade to.

Q: Would you need to install the hardware requested and perform any software integration or only need a pair of controllers for the Upgrade portion of the project to Upgrade from a FAS8200 to a

FAS8700.

A: We will need to include support for installation of equipment and assist with software integration added to the service contract.

Yes, we will need an update from FAS8200 to a FAS8700

Q: We need systems configuration info and current software revisions of the systems that need the upgrades.

A: The configuration file has not changed. They remain the same from years ago and new configurations can be provided once the contract is awarded.

Q: Do we need to come onsite to do the upgrade, or do you just need phone support to do the upgrade?

A: Line item 0012 provides the onsite support 7 days a week 24 hours a day, either by phone or onsite with a minimal of support being able to assist physically within 4 hours of notification for assistance. So, yes onsite to upgrade equipment as well as a yes to provide phone support for listed equipment.
