About this file
This document is a Requirements Document for the calibration of 16 accelerometer sensors for the 846th Test Squadron of the 704th Test Group. The requirement includes one calibration to be completed by December 31, 2024, and two optional calibrations to be exercised no later than December 31, 2025, if required. All calibrations must be completed within 5 weeks of receiving the equipment. The sensors must be calibrated from 10-5,000Hz with a frequency range of +/- 5% deviation, in accordance with traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The contractor shall provide calibration certificates with test results and is responsible for return shipping the sensors to Holloman Air Force Base. This requirement is part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Sled Test Project, and the unavailability of the calibrated sensors will negatively impact the squadron's ability to collect critical data.

ACCELEROMETER CALIBRATION
Requirements Document
For
704th Test Group/846th Test Squadron
16 May 2024
1.0 PURPOSE
The 704th Test Group’s (704 TG) mission is to be the premier provider of unique test and evaluation capabilities relevant to tomorrow’s warfighter through world-class people improving technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and agility. The 846th Test Squadron (846 TS) is one of the units assigned as part of the 704 TG. The 846 TS’s primary test capability is the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) where they utilize rocket powered sled trains to simulate flight like environments and scenarios with the control and recovery of a ground based system.
The 846 TS using customer selected sensors to collect data as sleds traverse the HHSTT on a upcoming mission. The squadron does not have the capability to calibrate these sensors up to customers requested 5 kHz range. This sensor is mission critical for the 846 TS mission support. Any lapsed calibrations will negatively impact the ability of the squadron to collect critical data for a upcoming mission.
Note: These sensors are used to record various data on Rocket Sleds for Guidance System Programs.
Unavailability of this vital asset, due to a lapsed calibration, will impact the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Sled Test Project.
This requirement includes one calibration to be completed by 31 Dec 24 and two optional calibrations to be exercised no later than 31 Dec 25 if required. All calibrations must be completed no later than 5 weeks weeks after receiving the equipment.
