Specifications for Portable Computerized Radiography at

Arnold Air Force Base, TN Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC)

Provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to provide a new fully functional Portable Computerized Radiography system. Refurbished or remanufactured parts are not authorized for this requirement.

This procurement is to add portable computerized radiography to the AEDC 300 KeV X-Ray generator and AEDC cobalt-60 and iridium-192 sources.

Requirements:

1) Durr HD-CR35NDT Computed Radiography Scanner or equivalent with the following requirements:

− Mechanical Iris focused laser with high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio, and adjustable spot size between 12.5 μm to 50 μm − Rotational scanning method that maintains equidistant along a 14” by 17” imaging plate − Achieves a 30 μm basic special resolution in accordance with ASTM E2445, ASTM E2446, and ISO 16371-1 − 16-bit grayscale resolution − Compatible Image Plate Sizes: 2 to 35 cm width, 3 to 200 cm length − Maximum Dimensions (H x W x D): 16” x 15” x 19” − Maximum Weight: 40 lbs.

− Input Power: 120 VAC at 60 Hz with the ability to operate on battery − Operating Temperatures: 55°F to 90°F − Ethernet for PC Interface (ability to disable all wireless and still operate) − Standalone operation capable (can operate without a connected PC)

2) Durr D-TectX software or equivalent with the following features − Software must be installed from a physical CD/DVD with offline activation and licensing.

− Native DICONDE file format support and compatibility − GPU acceleration and parallel CPU computing − Unlimited image file size support − Ability to evaluate images while acquiring image data and acquire images from DDA and CR simultaneously − Filtering for image enhancement with image history for tracking all image operations − Ability to meet ASME Section V requirements for radiography using phosphor imaging plate − Included tools: histogram, SNR/SNRN calculation, Automatic SRb determination per ASTM E2446, wall thickness analysis, length measurements, annotations, line profiles − Support for DDA’s with or without upgrade − Report generation

3) Transport Case − Rugged case which holds the scanner, battery pack, and essential hardware − Total weight: less than 55 lbs.

− Includes retractable handle and wheels

4) Imaging Plates and Sleeves − Two (2) Phosphor Imaging Plates, HCR, 4.5” x 10”, 63 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 3.3 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − Two (2) Phosphor Imaging Plates, HCR, 4.5” x 17”, 63 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 3.3 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − One (1) Phosphor Imaging Plates, HCR, 14” x 17”, 63 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 3.3 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − One (1) Phosphor Imaging Plates, UH-IP, 10 cm x 24 cm, 30 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 15.5 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − One (1) Phosphor Imaging Plates, UH-IP, 24 cm x 30 cm, 30 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 15.5 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − Two (2) Phosphor Imaging Plates, UH-IP, 4.5” x 17”, 30 μm Maximum Basic Spatial Resolution and 15.5 mGy Minimum Radiation Dose − One Thousand (1000) 10 cm x 24 cm disposable light proof sleeves − Two (2) flexible film loading sleeves, 24 cm x 30 cm − Two (2) flexible film loading sleeves, 35 cm x 43 cm − Ten (10) boxes of ten (10) cleaning wipes for scanner

5) Installation, Training, and Warranty − Complete on-site installation of scanner and software.

− Scanner and Software Training within 30 days after software installation − Training on PMT Gain and laser power technique development − 5-year warranty for 100% parts and labor on scanner − Three (3) year guaranteed annual service by a factory authorized service center which includes a disassembly and cleaning of all internal components; rollers, drive belts, transport belts, check optical path, basic image test with CR Phantom.
