NOT SENSITIVE IRA-3124
APTU Liquid IsoButane System Coriolis Flowmeter(s) 12 February 2018
Mass Flow Element
Meter Installation: Outdoor, horizontal pipe run with tandem meters installed parallel
Approximate Dimensions: 725 mm (28.54”) connection face to face takeout, required for calibration interchangeability with existing Coriolis meters.
900 X 600 X 140 mm approximate overall envelop
Medium(s): Liquid oxygen and nitrogen within cryogenic temperature range (-320⁰ F to -200⁰ F.)
Liquid Isobutane at ambient (0⁰ to 100⁰ F.)
Flow Pressure: 200 psig to 4620 psig (13 bar through 300 bar.)
Maximum environment temperature: 120⁰ F
Pressure-temperature rating: 4620 psig from -320⁰ F to + 120⁰ F
Meter Tubes Materials: Austenitic stainless steel (including 316Ti) or nickel – copper-stainless alloy to be specified by manufacturer.
Flow Tube Configuration: Parallel tube loop meter configuration.
Connections: Grayloc™ type connection.
Meter Enclosure materials: Stainless construction preferred. Must be suited for outdoor and cryogenic service.
Enclosure conditioning: 125 psig (~ 8 bar) dry utility nitrogen purge supply and 24 Volt D.C. is available (Manufacturer to state requirements for meter temperature and humidity compensation, if applicable.) Nitrogen purge connections will be capped when utilized for Isobutane flow measurement.
Maximum Required Flow: Nominal 1700 lb/min. Manufacturer to state recommended maximum mass flow.
Flow Measurement Range: 45 lb/min through 1700 lb/min, (20:1), per individual meter
Pressure Drop: ∆ P ≤ 45 psig (3 bar) at manufacturer’s maximum recommended flow rate.
Calibration Error: A) Primary Measurement Range (10:1 prioritizing maximum flow rate) Error ≤ 0.2% for 170 lb/min through 1700 lb/min
B) Low flow range measurement range Error ≤ 0.5%
Factory Certificate of Accuracy: NIST or equivalent to be provided by manufacturer with meter and signal transmitter. Please state transmitter programming or conversion of pulses needed to obtain 4-20 mA output to facility control system.
Flow measurement stabilization response time: ≤ 5 seconds (actual to be stated by manufacturer)

Coriolis Signal Transmitter
General Installation: Indoor ordinary location, wall mounted, 50⁰ F to 90⁰ F (10⁰ to 32⁰ C) ambient temperature
Transmitter Size: 225 x 350 x 150 mm approximate envelop
Enclosure Rating: Explosion resistance equivalent to NEC Class I Div 2 Groups B, C, D
Input Power: 120 VAC 60 Hz facility power.
Mass Flow Output: 4-20 mA analogue (mass flow)
Network Communications Interface: Not required at present.
Autonomous Function: The transmitter must be capable of standalone operation using only local programming. Communication over the world-wide web is not permissible at the owner’s facility.
Flow Meter to Transmitter converter cabling: Nominal 100 ft (30 m) cable run from outdoor meter to indoor transmitter wall mount location is required. Manufacturer to specify multi-core twisted and shielded cabling.
Packaging: Label packaged meters and transmitters to indicate calibrated pairs.
Suggested Model(s)
Meters: Two RHEONIK model RHM30 PFO seal-less parallel tube meters, Grayloc 4” ring size 23 catalogue standard meter, 316Ti construction, tandem mounted. Liquid oxygen cleaning is not required for the immediate use of the meters which will be in isobutane.)
Transmitters: Two RHEONIK model RHE08-A2-NN-CS, 115 Volt powered, CSA Class I Div 2 Groups BCD enclosure.
Cabling: To be provided by RHEONIK.
