MEMORANDUM FOR VENDORS REGISTERED UNDER NAICS CODE 334513 –

INSTRUMENTS AND RELATED PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING FOR MEASURING,

DISPLAYING, AND CONTROLLING INDUSTRIAL PROCESS VARIABLES

SUBJECT: FA9101-25-Q-B015 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source to FARO Technologies, Inc.

for the purchase of Laser Tracker Systems.

1. The Air Force Test Center, Arnold Air Force Base (AFB), TN has concluded their market research, which has indicated that FARO Technologies Inc. is the only vendor that is able to deliver Laser Tracker Systems that meet the required specifications. Arnold AFB intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a single source, firm-fixed price purchase order using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purchase order shall be awarded to large business: FARO Technologies Inc. - CAGE: 0VGY2 / UEI: GRTDYGFYWBS8. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334513, PSC Code is 6695, and the size standard is 750 employees.

2. The anticipated award date is no later than 13 December 2024. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Although the Government intends to solicit and award a single source purchase order using authority FAR 13.106-1(b), all responsible sources who can meet the requirements listed in Attachment 1 may submit a business concept that proves their business can meet all project requirements, which will be considered by the Government if received no later than 15 November 2024, 1:00 PM Central Time.
