STATEMENT OF WORK

(SOW)

Stand Off Precision Guided Munitions (SOPGM) Tow Trailers

20 Feb 2019

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This Statement of Work (SOW) establishes the work to be performed by the Contractor to support USSOCOM's Standoff Precision Guided Munition (SOPGM) training and tests.

2.0 SOPGM SUPPORT

The Contractor shall provide specialized tow trailers to transport target vehicles for munition tests. The support will include trailer shipment with two spare tires per trailer.

3.0 TRAILER REQUIREMENTS

• Axle: Minimum of 10,000 lbs. loading -May modify any other specifications as needed to accommodate the increased axle weight capacity

• Length: Add 10' for total length of 49'

• Jack: Move jack (crank) location on left side just ahead of last crossbeam; fold up even with trailer beam

• Pintle hook/eye: Add pintle hook to back center and pintle eye to front for multiple trailer capability with a single tow vehicle

• Tie Downs: Move tie down point located just in front of fender area forward 18 inches or to edge of square part of trailer on both sides. Add a tie down point to each side of trailer immediately in front of fender area on both sides (tie down = 8)

• Two spare tires per trailer

• Specific details are attached.

3.1 Additional Trailer Strengthening Requirements

3.1.1 10 ft. tongue extension needs 2 X pieces of square tubing (item 10 on sheet 2 of spec sheet).

Potential correction to current trailers as built: Take the current 3x3 tube neck extension tube that is already cut, making that the bottom support piece. Add an approximate 20ft long tube as the top piece. This will be the one running from the pintle hook – through the vertex plate (part ref.

sheet 5) and will run through to the second cross-member, where it will be welded secure there.

The bottom piece will slide right in front of the vertex plate, be welded to both that, and the frame support wall. Install a plate at the front of the extension tying both tubes together for the pintle hook, as well as 2 fish plates to clean up the appearance of the neck and add support. The 2x stacked tubes will be welded to these fish plates, along with a gusset plate on the bottom finishing off the connection/neck area.

3.1.2 Jack (crank) must be able to rotate 90 degrees to the rear and be repined during operation. (Sheet 12 of the specifications).

3.1.3 Modify suspension attachment point to allow full and complete leaf spring motion.

Modify by fully boxing in attachment point to re-enforce attachment point for complete suspension. The suspension should be welded to item 9 on sheet 5 of spec sheet.

4.0 Delivery Dates will be determined in Delivery Orders.
