#Description/QuestionResponses
What are the technical POCs for the Guidance/Navigation/Control, Electric Power and Carriage? At this time, specific questions in regard to these technologies should be submitted for further consideration.
Will only full missile system responses be considered, or are component responses such as novel propulsion systems also desired? The focus is toward configuration options however, subsystem considerations are key to meeting the long range capability.
Is there a classification guide that will be supplied with or prior to the RFP?Yes, SCG can be requested through RWK, Yakemi McKinnis
Is this a new requirement? Or is there an incumbent contract/contractor currently performing the same or similar work? If so, are you able to provide a contract number and the vendor’s name? The Munition's Directorate is focusing on development of a long range capability.
We are preparing a response to the propulsion section. Per the RFI text I wanted to confirm if we should apply a “protect as if classified confidential” marking to response. We currently only have a DD254 from another air breathing program and do not yet have derivative classification authority.A SCG can be requested through RWK, Yakemi McKinnis
Do we expect the follow on contracts on this to be 6.2/6.3 sub-system development contracts or including up to a full up prototype/detailed design of various air-to-air missile configurations? The efforts may continue towards a prototype demonstration which would include flight testing. Some subsystem technologies may need further maturation/development to reach the appropriate TRL.
Since areas like Advanced Propulsion for air-to-air missiles could take 10 pages to explain the new technologies for longer ranges and increased TOF, does RW want NGC to submit more than one RFI response with each focusing on sub-systems?We are interested in succinct and concise information that clearly demonstrates the technology attributes. The page limit will be increased to 20 pages. AFRL will contact the respondent if more information is required.
Our Advanced Sensors and adv GNC/PNT could be a small section too or a full ten page response? We are interested in succinct and concise information that clearly demonstrates the technology attributes. The page limit will be increased to 20 pages. AFRL will contact the respondent if more information is required.
Would you like one integrated response from us as a Prime for System Level consideration? We are interested in succinct and concise information that clearly demonstrates the technology attributes. The page limit will be increased to 20 pages. AFRL will contact the respondent if more information is required.
Is it permissible for a company send in more than one (10 page) response to the RFI?We are interested in succinct and concise information that clearly demonstrates the technology attributes. The page limit will be increased to 20 pages. AFRL will contact the respondent if more information is required.
Is there a security guide that AFRL has that could be used for reference?Yes, SCG can be requested through RWK, Yakemi McKinnis
