Digital Engineering Center of Excellence Request for Information (RFI)

FA8650-20-S-5702

Amendment #1 - Questions and Answers 1

10 Mar 2020

The following section of the RFI has been added as follows:

7. Required Responses - No change in Due Date

9. Questions and Answers (added)

The following are questions and answers to assist in responses:

# Question Answer

1 Is AFRL willing to consider a company playing only a technical leadership role for this consortium? Or does the company need to be able to compete in both the administrative and technical aspects of this RFI?

The need is for both administrative and technical capability. The ability for the recipient to support both is required.

2 Is the subject effort actually a funded effort, or is it subject to available funding as projects are identified.

Funding for the consortium activities would be awarded on a project-by-project basis.

3 Will this seek to single stream (single source) the efforts across AFRL that are currently seen across several other OSD/DoD efforts (MxD, ARM, NetFlex, etc.)?

That is not a specific objective for this consortium. We do not intend nor seek to draw investment or interest away from existing NNMI activities.

4 Could this consortium span to other AFLCMC organizations? The intent is to provide a rallying point for multiple AF organizations to work on digital transformation activities, so yes – AFLCMC, AFSC, and AFNWC offices would be likely collaborators.

5 I was hoping to learn if there is an incumbent contract/contractor currently fulfilling these services? If so, would it be possible to get the contract number, duration and value?

There is a brand new effort; there is no incumbent.

7. Required Responses - No change in Due Date
