ICET Q&As FA8650-20-S-1958 Call 01

Cognitive Enabling Technologies (ICET)

Questions (Q) and Answers (A) (27 Feb 2020)

CALL 01 ICET SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

1. Q: Do you need a system that can evaluate intricate changes in radars and ECM to determine how well an ECM system is adapting and changing to match adaptive/cognitive radar systems Answer: We do desire a capability to be able to monitor an ECM system’s response to all types of radars as well as the overall EM environment.

2. Q: When you say “synthetic battlespace” are you including “information dissemination”, for example an Army HQ transmitting battle plans to a subordinate unit or only radar/ECM?

Answer: The IDAL sometimes includes red communication signals as part of the synthetic battlespace. This is accomplished in the context of the blue system’s capabilities being demonstrated.
