Luke AFB, Arizona Question/Answers Set #1
1. Are both rows of AMA4896 mobile? Appears so in the drawing, but usually the ends are stationary similar to the top row of B2448.
A: The bottom carriage is stationary as designated by the hatch. The crank shown is in error and will be deleted in revised AF Drawing.
2. Is there a dock available for delivery?
A: There is no dock, but Building 840 is adjacent to Central receiving where there are docks/unloading capabilities
3. The drawing shows 1 of the AMA4896 carriages as a stationary and a mobile carriage.
Which is correct?
A: The bottom carriage is stationary as designated by the hatch. The crank shown is in error and will be deleted in revised AF Drawing. The other carriage is mobile.
4. 87” High pallet rack is considered a special size and will be subject to a surcharge if they will do it for only 6 uprights. Would 84” high pallet rack be acceptable for the mobile aisle?
A: Appendix C for Pallet Rack and the AF Drawing show pallet rack height to be 84”.
5. For the safety cabinets - Self closing doors only open to 140 degrees. Manual closing doors open to 180 degrees and have self-latching doors (fail safe, 3-point stainless steel).
Do you want self-closing doors (140 degrees) or manual doors with self-latching (180 degrees)?
A: Self closing doors are required. PD will be updated to reflect minimum 140 degree opening.
6. What aspect of this project aligns with NAICS 333922?
A: The NAICS 333922 was determined to be the best overall fit for this project.
7. With only 3 Files to be Submitted/Uploaded, which file would we be submitting the following documents within:
• Cover PD TPQ
• Acknowledgement of compliance
• Notification of Compliance with Contract Insurance
A: In accordance with the solicitation, all TPQs shall be within the Technical Volume Requirements. Acknowledgement of compliance and Notification of Compliance with Contract Insurance shall be within the cost proposal.
8. Will you accept powder coated wire mesh decking, in place of galvanized?
A: Powder coated wire decking is acceptable as long as all wire decking is manufactured and certified by a company that has an active R-Mark license through the Rack Manufacturers Institute.
