Andersen AFB and Kunsan AB Questions/Answers Set 1 20 July 2020
Kunsan AB ROK
Question 1: Please confirm the available ceiling height for the Medical Logistics Warehouse in Building 421.
Response 1: Clear height in Bldg 421 is 13'-1" to heater vents with additional spacing above the vents. See attached photo, 20191202_022443.jpg, for reference.
Question 2: Please identify the location of the electrical in-feed box for purposes of connecting the in-aisle lighting for the above room.
Response 2: For the purpose of connecting the in-aisle lighting, the location of the electrical in-feed box is in the Offices area and is approximate 80 feet from the mobile aisle system.
Quick confirmation – appendix A for Kunsan really does not address the qty of PB lanes requested.
Question 3: Per the drawing PKN807-01 I am reading it that there are 4 lanes of PB per section of rack and the top (3rd) level has wire deck in the front bay for single deep pallet storage directly on the beam(s).
Response 3: PKN807-01 shows three (3) rows (lanes) of 2-Deep Pushback Racks. All levels of the pushback rack shall provide two-deep pallet storage. The one row of pallet rack and the two end-units (one 84-inch wide and one 108-inch wide) pallet racks shall have wire decking.
Question 4: Drawing 02 PB breakout shows 2 pallets on the top level but they are flat in the drawing (assuming an error?) or is there actually 3 levels of PB. Drawing also shows wire deck (as with drawing 01) which suggests they are all the same configuration.
Response 4: PKN807-02 - Three levels of two-deep pallet storage shall be provided on all pushback racks.

Question 5: Please confirm clear ceiling height in room and clearance required below sprinkler heads or lights as there is no picture in the RFP.

LRS Warehouse/Bldg 18002
Question 6: Please confirm the clear ceiling height in the space and clearance required below sprinkler heads.
Response 6: LRS/Bldg 18002 clear height is 18' and 19'10" to fire suppression
Question 7: Appendix D, 3.3.2, 3.3.2.1 and 3.3.3.2 Please clarify which lighting is to be part of the vehicle requirements. The CPD makes no mention of lighting reconfiguration or new lighting to be installed.
Response 7: Rack Lighting and Aisle Lighting referenced in 3.3.2.1. and 3.3.2.2. of Appendix D are lights to be provided on the turret truck. There are no existing lights mounted to the rack structure and no new lights shall be mounted to the rack structure. For reference only, see attached photos, IMG_9809.jpg and IMG_9813.jpg, of the existing inoperable turret trucks. In these photos, you can see the small lights attached to the truck.
