The modular offices shall be one-story, in-plant, modular offices. Type “A” modular office shall be integrated with Type “A” mezzanine columns as specified in Appendix A and this appendix.

Physical and Performance Characteristics Dimensions The single story modular office Type “A” shall be 42’ L x 24’W. The single story modular office Type “B” shall be 26’L x 28’W. The modular office Type “A” shall be no greater than 8-feet high with an interior clear height of a minimum of 7-feet from the ceiling to the floor. The modular office Type “B” shall be no greater than 9-feet high with an interior clear height of a minimum of 8-feet from the ceiling to the floor.

Structure The modular offices shall be a freestanding, pre-fabricated, pre-wired, modular structure. The walls shall consist of panels connected to posts for ease of assembly. All panel connections shall allow the wall panels to be connected to one another making the wall structure totally non-progressive to the extent that any panel can be easily removed and/or replaced without disturbing the adjacent wall panels or the ceiling support structure. All construction materials shall be non-combustible. The In-Plant Modular office will be FM Class A and UL Class 1 and have a minimum of one-hour fire rated construction.

Floor The modular offices shall use the existing concrete slab floor of the installation site. The floor of the modular office shall be covered with a direct glue, fire retardant, minimum 20 ounce nylon roll or carpet tiles. A sample of standard carpet colors shall be provided with the shop drawings for selection by the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR).
