About this file
This document is a Statement of Work for a dental washer disinfector required by the Wright Patterson Medical Center Dental Services Clinic. The clinic needs a new washer disinfector capable of sanitizing 190 instrument trays daily, as their current unit is past its life expectancy and frequently malfunctions.
The key requirements include a cabinet-style washer with vertical sliding doors, double-pane tempered glass, pneumatic activation with safety features, and the ability to complete reverse osmosis to meet OSHA and infection prevention standards. It must have multiple wash cycles to handle a variety of instruments and accessories, along with a high-capacity pump, stainless steel wash chamber, temperature controls, and a customizable control system. The washer must be delivered within 60 days of award and come with accessories such as a manifold rack, protocol printer, and transfer carts.
The government is conducting market research under a pre-solicitation for this requirement, seeking responses by June 27, 2024. The contract will be awarded to a vendor that can meet the detailed specifications in the Statement of Work.

Dental Washer DisinfectorSTATEMENT OF WORK
24 April 2024
1. Introduction: The Wright Patterson Medical Center Dental Services Clinic is in need of a washer disinfector for the sanitization of 190 trays of instruments on a daily basis. Without this capability they are unable to disinfect their instruments leading to the potential cancellation of XXX appointments.
2. Background: The Wright Patterson Medical Center Dental Services Clinic has a washer disinfector at present, but it is 1 year past life expectancy and has gone down multiple times in the past year. Without the washer we are forced to use a back-up process which is inefficient and cannot keep up with the demands of a large dental clinic. Having a properly functioning washer will provide an efficient and proper decontamination of all dental instruments and keep us in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC). Steris washers are already used within the MTF and is the most compatible for mission needs and to meet all OSHA/TJC and infection prevention requirements due to its unique capability to complete reverse osmosis.
