About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for federal contract opportunity FA8601-25-Q-0142, issued by the Department of the Air Force Headquarters 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on 31 July 2025. The Q&A addresses two specific inquiries related to a furniture procurement solicitation: first, clarifying elevator usage restrictions (the elevator can be used but will be smaller for furniture transport), and second, specifying material requirements for table tops (rejecting hardwood butcher block and requesting maple laminate instead). The document is signed by Curtis V. Thomas III, Contract Specialist from AFLCMC/PZIBA, and provides direct, succinct responses to vendor questions about the solicitation's requirements.

QUESTIONS

Question 1: When it states “passenger only” does this mean the elevator is off limits completely-or only during regular business hours? Are you expecting a stair carry?

ANSWER: The elevator can be used; it will just be a smaller elevator to carry furniture up and down.

Question 2: Would Hardwood Butcher Block Wooden Table Top material be acceptable?

ANSWER: No, maple laminate please
