QUESTIONS

1. QUESTION: Would it be ok to do a 2-segment tile as shown below in the second image for cost saving as well as continuity because the beltline tile requires a 16”H and it would differ visually from the other panels.

ANSWER: 2-segment tiles are acceptable.

2. QUESTION: For the power, out system uses triplex receptacles. Would it be approved to use (2) triplex at the belt and (1) triplex at the base which would equate to 9 outlets total?

ANSWER: That is acceptable.

3. QUESTION: For the work surface, can we do a freestanding post leg nearest the pantry for support? Spec states cantilever support.

ANSWER: Freestanding post for support is acceptable.

4. QUESTION: The mobile ped has one file drawer and one pencil drawer. Is that what you mean by “pencil drawer” in the SOW, or are you looking for extra items to go inside of the pencil drawer.

ANSWER: Extra item inside of pencil drawer.

5. QUESTION: In order to have three wireway notches in the surface it would require two surfaces. This could result in multiple wood grain directions:

ANSWER: Is it possible to have another notch added on the one piece top, above the mobile ped?

6. QUESTION: Is APG or the Construction Contractor responsible for the Electrician? I saw it written both ways in the 1.0 Scope section.

ANSWER: Construction contractor is responsible for making the connections. Furniture contractor is only to provide furniture electrical in order for the construction contractor to tie in the facility to the furniture.

7. QUESTION: The Scope says to reference section 3.2.11 for updated power harness requirements, but I can’t find that section. Can we confirm 8-wire as shown in section 2.2.11.1 is still correct?

ANSWER: Section 2.2.11.1 is correct.

8. QUESTION: 2.5.13 – “The contractor shall ensure that all communication outlet faceplates are provided with the furniture, based on the unique specification on the IT requirements.” Is this something APG will need to source or the Construction Contractor? Data faceplates aren’t part of our systems and if we need to provide them, we need to know the specs of the IT requirements so we can find the correct ones.

ANSWER: We only require a blank cover.

9. QUESTION: I would like to confirm this project should be quoted for prevailing wage labor quote?

ANSWER: Yes

10. QUESTION: Windows: We noticed that the layout seems to show windows behind both the WS.1 workstations and the PO.1 private offices. To ensure we propose the correct panel heights and avoid interfering with windows openings or natural light, could you please confirm the heights – off the floor – at which those windows begin?

ANSWER: Per the SOW, the correct panel heights are specified as to not interfere with the windows. PO.1 will not interfere with the windows.

11. QUESTION: Demountable Walls: Section 3.1.4 refers to demountable walls. We noticed that the demountable walls are shown in the floor plan, but there is no product specific call-out in the 14 July 2025 SOW. However, there is this 3.1.4 Statement, which leaves us wondering. Could you please confirm if these walls already exist, or if they are part of the scope and need to be supplied?

ANSWER: There are no demountable wall typicals for this project.

12. QUESTION: Panels: Section 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 refer to both monolithic and stackable panels. Based on the photographic image included, it appears that stackable (or segmented) panels are shown, however the written description mentions monolithic panels. Could you please clarify which panels is required for this project? This distinction affects both the design and overall cost proposal.

ANSWER: Reference cutsheets, not section 3.1.1. Stackable to resemble image provided on WS.1.
