Question and Answers Fire Suppression Maintenance

1. Question: Could you please confirm the total number of clean agent systems that need to be tested at the facility?

Answer: In regards to the Buildings listed in Exhibits A/B; there are 6 CO2 stems on the PWS

2. Question: Could you please confirm the total number of deep fryers containing thermostats that will need to be tested at the facility?

Answer: Unknown how many fryers have non-solid state thermostats (none on the included

PWS)

3. Question: Could you please confirm the facility has the following; 6 High pressure CO2 systems, 5 dry chemical systems, and 7 wet chemical systems that need to be tested?

Answer: Yes, 6 High pressure CO2 systems, 5 dry chemical systems, and 7 wet chemical systems

4. Question: We would also like to confirm there is no requirement for Fire Protection Systems (I.e.

Fire Sprinklers) or Fire Detection and Notifications Systems (I.e. Fire Alarm/ FACP and equipment) ITMs.

Answer: ITMs are required for Base systems

5. Question: Lastly, I want to confirm the following is a requirement for this RFQ.

52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting.

Limitations on subcontracting. By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Contractor agrees that in performance of a contract assigned a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for—

(1) Services (except construction), it will not pay more than 50 percent of the amount paid by the Government for contract performance to subcontractors that are not similarly situated entities. Any work that a similarly situated entity further subcontracts will count towards the prime contractor's 50 percent subcontract amount that cannot be exceeded. When a contract includes both services and supplies, the 50 percent limitation shall apply only to the service portion of the contract;

Answer: After further review the Government will remove the clause from the Solicitation in a forthcoming amendment

Additionally the PWS will be updated on the Amendment to reflect an update to the exhibits which includes additional information.
