Questions Received:

We would need to know what configure of unit you would like.

We need to know if you want a 540 or 1000 along with which size drive line for a 1000.

We need to know how many tires you want and which style.

We need to know if you want single or double chain guards.

Gov Response:

1. As long as the units proposed meet the technical aspects listed in the

SOW.

2. Per the SOW, speed must fall in between the 540rpm and 1000rpm range, with a category 5 driveline for both mower decks.

3. Number of tires should depend on the tractor manufacture, there is not a hard requirement of the number of tires we are looking for. As far as style goes, per the SOW, laminated, foam filled or better.

4. Per the SOW, single or double chains is acceptable.

Gov Response:

For the 540 or 1000 rpm question, it is an established range to provide for maximum competition and options. As long as the RPM is at least 540 but no greater than 1000, it will be found technically acceptable for both mowers.

We are unable to clarify any further for that technical requirement.

For the driveline, it must be a category 5 or greater driveline for both mowers. We are unable to clarify any further.

For the wheels, the style is laminated, foam filled, or better. There is not a specified number of wheels, as different mowers have different number of wheels, and our customer did not want to prevent a quote from being made due to not having the proper number of wheels.

The SOW clearly states, for both mowers, safety deflectors need to be either single or double, and made of chain or stronger material, with plastic or rubber not acceptable.
