QUESTIONS
1. QUESTION: Per the SOW, in the description of MW.1, they say to refer to an attachment drawing with ceiling plan, lighting and HVAC. I did not see this drawing in the files downloaded? Can these please be added to SAM.gov?
ANSWER: As stated in the Combined Synopsis, due to issues with SAM.gov, attachment 9 is unsupported and cannot be attached to the combined synopsis/solicitation. Please contact the POC, Candice Snow, candice.snow@us.af.mil, for a copy of the drawing files.
2. QUESTION: To provide a detailed bid regarding the modular walls, we will need the CAD file. If CAD file is not provided, we will do our best in estimating a price.
ANSWER: The CAD furniture drawing will be sent upon request.
3. QUESTION: What is the ceiling height where the modular walls will be going?
ANSWER: Ceiling height specifications are provided in the SOW under sections
2.0 and the typicals.
4. QUESTION: Will you require any floor plan renderings for the new furniture? If so, please provide CAD files of each office space.
ANSWER: Per the SOW, section 2.0, yes renderings are required.
5. QUESTION: Is this a 1st floor/ground floor delivery and installation? If it’s above the 1st floor/ground floor, is there an elevator?
mailto:candice.snow@us.af.mil
ANSWER: Provided in the SOW under section 10.0.
6. QUESTION: If there is an elevator, what are the measurement? As the size of the furniture varies and it may not fit, hence carry up.
ANSWER: Provided in the SOW under section 10.0. Elevator size not provided.
7. QUESTION: Does delivery/installation crew require to be union?
ANSWER: No.
8. QUESTION: Does a (COI) certificate of insurance need to be provided? If so, please provide insurance requirements.
ANSWER: No. See Far 28.310. This effort is not expected to exceed SAT.
9. QUESTION: Do we need to dispose the old existing furniture?
ANSWER: No, the space will be empty.
10. QUESTION: On Tag WS.1A which image is the correct one?
ANSWER: Per the SOW, the images are basis of design and correlate to the specification. Each image identifies an element of that typical.
11. QUESTION: WS.1, WS.1A, WS.2: please confirm where the hutch is to be placed. The spec says to “span over length of partial desk and return” and then “hutch will sit on top of return” with the main desk being height adjustable, please confirm intended placement.
ANSWER: Per the image in the SOW for WS.1 –WS.2, the desk will be integrated into the return. The intent is to have the return extend past the desk slightly to accommodate the hutch. The hutch will need to be high enough to house the height adjustable desk.
12. QUESTION: Are you able to tell me what the basis of design is for this modular wall?
ANSWER: The basis of design references are: 1.) Trendway, Volo Wall, 2.)
Falkbuilt, 3.) DIRTT Better or equivalent to above.
13. QUESTION: On the WS.1 specifications it says that the hutch spans partially over the desk? The spec does not call out dimensions for the
Hutch and the return is only to be 44” long. This typical does not have the adjustable height return either, only the WS.2 has adjustable height desk/return combo.
ANSWER: Per the basis of design image, the height adjustable desk leg is to be integrated into the return. I have updated the SOW, to include the following comment, “Length of return and desk can fluctuate to accommodate integrated height adjustable leg and hutch.
