Question 1: FBO states that bids can be emailed but the SF1449 requests hard copies with product samples. Which would you prefer? I can bring you samples in the morning but there is a lot of them. I can send soft copies of data sheets if email will suffice.
Answer 1: Request hard copies with samples
Question 2: Is there really a Carpet Type IV Roll Price line item? Appendix E shows it but it is not listed on Appendix C and without this info we can't bid this line item.
Answer 2: Carpet Type IV Roll no longer exists and has been removed from Appendix E in the PWS.
Question 3: Our asbestos abatement company still has not received their copy of the Ohio certificate even though there is reciprocity between states. Would you accept another states certificate until the Ohio certificate is received?
Answer 3: Per Environmental Department we will not accept a certificate from another state. Try calling to see if the issuing office can expedite a certificate.
Question 4: On you Price sheets there is a line item # AV for carpet type IV. In the PWS there is no specification for carpet type IV. DO you want me to leave this blank as a zero or could you tell me the specification to match.
Answer 4: Carpet Type IV Roll no longer exists and has been removed from Appendix E in the PWS.
Question 5: If we have a Resilient product that is technically superior to what is called for as an “Or Equal” how are we to price that item to you? While the PWS allows for “Or Equals” Appendices C & E restrict them. Which document prevails and how should an “Or Equal” Resilient Flooring Product be priced on the forms attached? How should we proceed?
Answer 5: Appendix C pages 36-37 for Resilient Flooring is revised to include " Or Equal " allowance for minimum specification.
