SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding Solicitation FA8601-16-T-0265, Maintenance of

Varian Clinac Linear Accelerator, posted to Federal Business Opportunities on 2 June 2016

QUESTION

1. Could the technical users provide when the last software upgrade was performed and what version they are currently running?

2. Is there a previous contract for this equipment? If so, can you provide the contract number?

3. Who is the vendor currently servicing the equipment?

4. What was the cost of the last year’s contract and is this the same equipment as last year’s contract?

5. Is the contract available for viewing?

6. Is there a service history available?

7. Is all the equipment up and running?

8. Can the maintenance be performed by a subcontractor?

ANSWER

1. They are currently running 4D Console Version 13 and it was installed less than 1 year ago on the Trilogy System.

2. Yes, there is a previous contract. The previous contract number is FA8601-15-P-0237.

3. Varian Medical Systems is the current vendor.

4. No cost information will be provided. It is the same equipment.

5. No, the previous contract will not be provided for viewing. For information about previous Government contract awards, submit a FOIA request or go to FPDS.gov or

FBO.gov

6. The service history is available for the winning offeror.

7. Yes, the equipment is up and running.

8. Yes, subcontractors can be used. A subcontracting plan should be submitted with any proposals using subcontractors.
