1. The provided information does not specify single or dual controls.
Does the purchaser have any guidance on this? Dual controls could be offered as an option, if desired.
Single pilot control set is required. Ergonomically, this should be in front of the equivalent of the left seat pilot. Inputs by IP through a computer are also required.
2. Do I assume correctly that the purchaser desires a cockpit-enclosed device? This may be tight given the available space.
Enclosure is not required. Having the controls be ergonomically like the aircraft (Not a table-top set up) is essential. It is acceptable to utilize a standard chair instead of a simulator mounted chair.
3. Does "Garmin style" mean REAL Garmin 430 or 530, or can it be reverse-engineered solution with GPS control head remote from the GPS screen?
Real knobs on a device with integral screen to appear to be a real Garmin 430 or 530 is needed for development of habit pattern. The knobs and buttons need to behave like a real Garmin 430 or 530. Separation of the knobs and buttons from a remote screen is not acceptable. The GPS must be updatable on a routine, periodic basis to current (real) instrument procedures as specified.
4. Would a Piper Archer be an acceptable alternative to the Piper Warrior requested?
The desired set up is for a Piper Arrow. Availability to purchase and easily modify to a second cockpit, such as the Warrior, available at a non-excessive cost is desirable. For the second set-up, Archer instead of Warrior is acceptable.
