Minimum Requirements for 3D Imaging System
System Description:
This system shall be capable of capturing 3D images (each pixel having its own depth) producing an accurate dense surface model through the use of a single camera head at the minimum frame rate specified below. The images captured shall be capable of being analyzed using third party software (output formats specified below) for focal length and surface deformation. Methods and systems for three-dimensional imaging include sampling one or more emissions which are reflected back from a target scene with one or more micro-channel plates. The one or more sampled emissions are processed in one or more frames. Within each frame a phase is extracted and a distance to the target scene and amplitude is determined on a pixel-by-pixel basis. A three dimensional image of the target scene is generated and provided based on the extracted phase and the determined distance and amplitude for the one or more frames.
3D Imaging System Minimum Requirements
· The system shall be capable of capturing images at 30 frames per second(fps) or faster.
· Data output formats shall be compatible with software packages that have current license agreements with AFIT. Examples include, but are not limited to:
· Matlab
· LabVIEW
· Accuracy of the imaging system shall be comparable to current AFIT configuration (less than or equal to 1mm) along the x, y, and z axis.
· Image optical component shall consist of a single head adhering to the specifications listed in the next section.
· The system shall run on a Windows operating system complete with Microsoft Office tools.
· System shall be controlled by PC with a minimum of Intel core i7 920, 8 G of ram, terabyte hard drive, high def 24” LCD
· System shall have a mobile card the fits through a standard door 54”
· The optical components of the system shall meet the following requirements:
· Eye safe laser emissions with an average power output not to exceed 1mW(CDRH Class II).
· Laser wavelength shall not exceed 780nm.
· Full working range of the imaging head shall be:
· Minimum focal length: 0-1m
· Maximum focal length: greater than 4m
· The system shall have a 10 degree full field of view fixed focal length imaging lens.
· Requirements of the supplier are as follows:
· Supplier shall send personnel to install, calibrate, and validate system specifications on-site.
· Supplier shall provide up to 1 full working day (8 hours) of training.
· System shall come with calibrations, test articles, and user manuals
· Supplier shall keep DITM staff apprised of updates to software for future use.
