About this file

This file is an Industry Day presentation slide deck for the 4mm and 6mm Video Borescopes acquisition program. The United States Air Force, through the Combat Readiness Directorate at Robins Air Force Base (AFLCMC/ROZ), is seeking qualified vendors to supply video borescopes for aircraft engine inspections across multiple USAF platforms. The borescope systems must comply with CID A-A-59883A Type VI specifications and include 4mm diameter, 6mm diameter, and 6mm diameter with working channel insertion tubes, each at least 3 meters long with interchangeable viewing and measuring tips offering forward and side view capabilities. Additional technical requirements include measurement software with distance, point-to-line, depth, and area measurement functions; 3D modeling capability; 4-way articulation with minimum 120-degree articulation angle; at least 4-inch display screen; and power capability to operate from AC or DC battery for a minimum of 100 minutes.

The contract will be structured as a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement with a firm fixed price arrangement, consisting of a one-year basic ordering period followed by four optional one-year periods. Evaluation criteria will emphasize technical merit (meeting or exceeding specifications), small business participation, and proposed pricing under a lowest price technically acceptable source selection approach. The acquisition timeline includes a Sources Sought release on 22 April 2026, responses due 6 May 2026, an Industry Day on 23 June 2026 at the Advance Technology & Training Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, estimated RFP release on 10 August 2026, proposal submissions due 25 September 2026, and anticipated contract award on 23 October 2026. Vendors interested in one-on-one breakout sessions must submit requests by 17 June 2026 to the contracting officer and specialists.
