1.0 Description of Services

1.1 Objective(s): This Performance Work Statement (PWS) describes the services required to meet the Air Force’s repair requirements for the Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL) Avionics Bus Box (ABB), NSN 5895-01-610-3177GC, P/N AB2151/PMC05, used on the HH- 60G helicopter. These services include functional testing, inspection, repair or overhaul actions required to ensure the ABB is in serviceable condition. The Contractor shall fault isolate, repair and test unserviceable assets, as well as maintain data and complete data deliverables, all within the timeframes and quality standards negotiated on the contract. The Contractor shall track and resolve items affected by Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR), perform depot level repair, functional testing, inspection, and packaging. A repair is successful if the item is in a serviceable condition and efficiently serves its intended purpose. The period of performance shall consist of a basic one-year period after contract award plus four one-year ordering periods.

The contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type for all ordering periods. Repairs shall be completed within 45 days after induction. For priority requirements, the Contractor shall respond to the Production Management Specialist (PMS) within one business day of the request with the estimated delivery date of the critical item. The Contractor shall report production using the Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force (CAVAF) system by maintaining current inputs. The Contractor shall provide data on the actions conducted for each unit. The Contractor shall report daily or as actions occur. The Contractor shall have no more than one valid PQDR per contract year.

1.2 Benefit to United States Air Force (USAF): This acquisition will benefit the United States Air Force by providing a means of coverage to fulfill current and future requirements for the

SADL ABB.

1.3 Background: The HH-60G conducts day and night combat search and rescue operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel in austere and unfriendly territory. Because of its versatility, the HH-60G is also tasked to perform military operations other than war including civil search and rescue, emergency medical evacuation, disaster relief, international aid, and counter drug activities. A vital part of the aircrew’s mission is the ability to scan and search an area of interest and provide messages in search and rescue missions. The HH-60G helicopter requires efficient management of all situational awareness of the pilots during both day and night tactical operations. Efficient situational awareness management is key to the success of all Personnel Recovery mission sets and significantly enhances mission accomplishment. The ABB is used on Air Force HH-60G aircraft that perform various missions as noted in background. The unit is designed to interface between the SADL Radio and the HH-60G 1553 Data Bus for the purpose of recording mission sensor data.
