About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Department of the Air Force, Directorate of Contracting at Hill Air Force Base, Utah for the procurement of Propellant Actuated Initiators.

The solicitation FA8213-26-R-3037 requests quotations for 50 units of Propellant Actuated Initiators (NSN: 1377-01-645-7393, DODIC: MH63, Manufacturer Part Number: 6028300-01) with a required delivery date of 21 April 2028. This is a firm fixed price procurement designated as a sole source award to Chemring Energetic Devices (CAGE 93455). The Government will make award by 30 September 2026. Quotations must be submitted by 23 July 2026. The items are classified as remanufacture items; offerors must provide quantities of anticipated carcasses and primers needed to complete the work. The procurement includes quality assurance requirements per ISO 9001:2015 and requires compliance with higher-level contract quality requirements. Serial numbers are required on delivered items, and the items must meet Buy American Act requirements with domestic origin sourcing from CONUS sources. The hazardous classification is Division 1.4, Storage Compatibility Group C, with DOT Class 1.4C designation.

The contract includes various standard FAR and DFARS clauses covering representations and certifications, cybersecurity safeguarding, export controls, small business subcontracting plans, and ammunition/explosives-specific requirements. Payment will be processed through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) using appropriate invoice and receiving report document types. The contract administration office is located at Hill Air Force Base. No small business set-aside applies to this procurement. Offerors must maintain firm pricing for 120 days and are encouraged to recommend economic purchase quantities if different quantities would be more advantageous.
