Attachment 1 15 Aug 2016 Beez Combat Systems Vest Specifications

Body Armor Specifications

The dimensions of each ESAPI plate are: Small 8.75” x11.75”, Medium 9.5” x 12.5”, Large 10.25” x 13.25” and X-Large 11” x 14”.

The following is the specifications required for the Body Armor Carrier with NIJ

0101.06 certified Type IIIA soft armor panels:

Panels:

o Must not be more than 0.26" thickness o Multi-hit capability o Must cover front, back, and sides o Required cut is the BALCS armorer o Sizes needs to be from X Small to XX Large

BALCS Vest ABU and Black:

o Need to include full internal and external cummerbund for support. It will not be more than 4 inches wide and utilize elastic for adjustment o Must be ABU pattern for ABU vests o Must be Black for Black vests o Must have MOLLE all around the vest o Sizes needs to be from X Small to XX Large.

o Must have reinforced drag handle sewn on the back panel with no less than six inches of handle stitching, capable of dragging 350 pound person 100 meters.

o Will not have any external kangaroo pouches o Will not be quick release system o Must have capability to attach additional groin protector panel o Side panels will meet or overlap when closed to provide 360 degrees of Level IIIA Protection o Must have loop Velcro patch only on top front exterior, 2”x6” for identification tag attachment o Must have adjustable shoulder straps for proper fitting o Interior must be manufactured with 500 Denier coated cordura nylon material o Exterior must be manufactured with 1000 Denier coated cordura nylon material o Must have modular capability to upgrade vest with side ESAPI plate pouches o Warranty: 5yr minimum on Soft Armor inserts, 10yr minimum warranty on stitching and materials ESAPI plates:

o Needs to be inset from the front and rear interior or from the top front and rear of the vest, not directly from the bottom to avoid loss of ESAPI plates Plates need to be held securely in a fitted pocket with two 2” straps to prevent any movement during vigorous activity
