FA8132-R-17-0008 Site Visit Q&A 08 February 2017

1. What was the previous contract amount and term?

Previous contract information is available on this solicitation.

2. Please provide MSDS sheets for all 19 blast media products used at these facilities.

See attached "Tinker Powder Overview."

3. Section 1.2.2.2 indicates that the contractor shall not mix media in drums. There are 19 different media used. These get mixed in the spray booth. Should this section be deleted?

Please see PWS 1.2.3.2 “The contractor shall not mix the contents of one drum with another and shall not rotate drums between different dust collector systems (Appendix A).” There are no restrictions on the contents of the drums only that they shall not be mixed with another drum. This is to ensure drum contents are not poured into another drum and risk accidental waste spillage.

4. Will the government dispose of the contractors filters and collection bags from the vacuum?

Yes. The contractor can put their filters, collection bags, and disposable suits in the government debris drums. Upon contract award, the government will orient the contractor where the drums are located and familiarize them with the different types of hazmat drums in the shop.

5. Will the government provide pallets rated for these drums?

The pallets are government provided and strong enough to take the weight of 4 drums.

6. What are the specifications on the non-peel black paint?

The paint SDS is now attached.

7. Approximately how much waste goes into the drums annually?

Approximately 60,000 lbs.
