M20-062 Bridge Crane Solicitation Questions and Answers
1) Please provide each of the following regarding Item 1 (Louden 3 Ton Capacity Single Girder
Underhung Motor Driven Crane – or equivalent):
a) Please confirm that the indicated "75 FMP Travel Speed, 2 - 4 FPM Travel Speed” indicated in Item I.g. is for both of the following:
i. Crane.
ii. Hoist.
Crane (Bridge) speed is course travel rate 75 fpm with a fine travel rate between 2 and 4 fpm.
b) Hoist speed?
Hoist course travel rate is 14 fpm, fine travel rate is between 2 and 4 fpm.
c) Lifting height?
Lifting height is 20 ft.
d) Per the “Hoist A / B” reference in Item 1.m.i.:
i. What is the crane configuration?
ii. Is there any sketch?
Crane configuration, see attached sketch.
e) Frequency inverter for lifting?
Frequency inverter duty motors required.
2) Please provide each of the following regarding Item 3 (3 Ton Acco Work-Rated Monorail
Hoist-Close Headroom, Cross Mounted – or equivalent):
a) Please clarify the requirement to “Maintain 4 ft - 0 in Hook Centers” requirement in
Item 3.d. This requirement is not clear.
Hoists able to be positioned with 4 ft. between hook centers on same bridge.
b) Frequency inverter for lifting?
Frequency inverter duty motors required.
c) Please confirm that the Item 3 requirement is for four (4) equal hoists running on the same runway beam. That is our understanding of the overall Item 3 requirement.
4 hoists total, 2 bridges total, 2 hoists per bridge.
d) A diagram of the installation is requested for reference.

3) How will the cranes be suspended?
The cranes will be suspended from a steel structure.
