STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR NEW DRIVE MOTOR

(F3YCHE5005A001)

1.0. SCOPE:

1.1. GENERAL: This purchase description of work covers a “Turn Key” contractor designed, manufactured, and delivered a suitable replacement motor used on the Advanced Fuel Accessory Test System 8230001-0503 located in Bay 2, Building 3902, Tinker AFB.

1.2. PURPOSE: This purchase description is to provide guidance in the submission of a technical proposal for acquisition of a suitable replacement motor by the contractor.

1.3. INTENDED USE: This drive motor shall be able to run the F100 Gear Pump used on F15 and F16 aircrafts.

2.0. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS:

2.1. Government Documents: This purchase description shall be the governing document for the equipment requirements in effect on the date of invitation for bids, or request for proposals, and form a part of this description to the extent specified herein.

3.0. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

3.1. The replacement motor shall be new and unused (not a prototype), shall be sized to match with the existing drive motor (Electric Apparatus P/N 105-05870-01), and allow seamless installation without modification of the Advanced Fuel Accessory Test System.

3.2. Safety: The new drive motor shall be compliant with the most recent version of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70 Article 500, Hazardous Locations.

3.3. Nameplates: The new drive motor shall have the manufacturer’s name, address, type or style, model or serial number, and catalog number on a plate secured to the motor.

4.0 MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT:

4.1 General: Materials and equipment shall conform to the best commercial practices.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL:

The Contractor shall provide 2 copies in hard copy format of Operation and Maintenance manuals for the new drive motor. The hard copies shall be bound in a three-ring binder or other approved format. The Contractor shall also provide the Operation and Maintenance manuals in electronic format.

7.0 WARRANTY:

The contractor shall warranty the new drive motor free of defects for a period of no less than 365 calendar days. The contractor shall be notified of defects by the Government in writing. The contractor shall respond to all reported problems within 24 hours. Defects shall be remedied at no cost to the Government within 10 calendar days. Contractor shall be responsible for correcting any found defect or inconsistency with this SOW to the Government’s satisfaction. If the defect or inconsistency persists beyond the 365 calendar day period or the standard warranty period, whichever is longer, the contractor shall still be responsible for corrective action until the issue is rectified. The motor will be subject to usage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Warranty shall start after acceptance of the final invoice in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Contractor shall be responsible for damages caused by the defect. All materials and labor for corrective action, modifications, and defects shall be supplied by the contractor, including a tracking number and carrier name e-mailed to the government POC. The period of performance for this contract shall include a minimum of one (1) year warranty. The warranty shall not be considered null and void if governmental personnel are require to perform emergency shutdown or repairs to the drive motor due to a defect that present a clear and present danger, such as could cause grave damage to the environment (i.e. toxic release of chemicals), present a health hazard to personnel working in and around the equipment, or presents a safety hazard to the building, personnel within the building.

Warranty tags shall be mounted on the outside of the unit so that they are visible without gaining entry into the unit.
