1) What is the maximum weight of the load in the oven?
A1. Parts vary greatly. Radomes and flight controls. Estimated maximum is 2,000 lbs.
2) What is the load made of?
A2. Load is aircraft composite material: fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc.
3) What is the maximum weight of any carriers or fixtures used in the oven? What are the carriers or fixtures made of?
A3. Any carriers steel, aluminum or wood.
4) Are any volatiles dissipated during the cure cycle? Is any water give off? If so, can you tell us the type and amount of each?
A4. Very small amounts of volatiles and water vapor. It is a drying andmoisture removal oven per the description in the SOW. The parts are mostly cured by the time they are at this stage.
5) What is your process cycle? How many hours would the oven be "on" per batch?
A5. Process cycle is continuous, 24 hour.
6) For the exhaust, your spec mentions that there is already a roof penetration. Does this roof penetration already have an outside stack?
A6. Yes, already stacks present.
7) Can the fresh inlet have a short outside stack? I know your requirements for an exhaust stack are significant in height over the building roof.
A7. Inlet stack could be shorter than exhaust.
8) Can you advise what the maximum VCS vapor loading is?
A8. Very small amounts of volatiles and water vapor. Under 1 Gallon Per Hour.
