About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract opportunity. The Q&A addresses two key points: (1) a clarification of the term "repaired" in section 1.3 of the Evaluation Report, which is defined as a controlled machining/sample conditioning process to transform irregular sample material into a test sample meeting specific design specifications, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish requirements; and (2) confirmation that certain Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) documents (CDRL 003, 005, 007, and 008) do not need to be submitted with the initial quote. The government will specify the timing for deliverable submissions during the contract execution phase.

Questions and Answers

Question 1: Regarding section 1.3 Evaluation Report, it is stated “The Contractor shall accomplish Testing, Evaluation, Machining and Sample Prep on each part to be repaired…”.

May I be provided further definition of the term “repaired” in reference to an Evaluation Report that would be generated for this job?

Answer 1: "Repaired," in the context of Section 1.3, Evaluation Report refers to the controlled machining/sample conditioning process of transforming dimensionally irregular sample material into a test sample that precisely adheres to predetermined design specifications, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish requirements.

Question 2: Regarding the “Deliverables” section of the PWS starting on page 10, do these documents and or sample documents (CDRL 003, CDRL 005, CDRL 005, CDRL 007, and CDRL 008) need to be submitted with the quote?

Answer 2: No, you will not need to submit anything with the quote. For each sections of the PWS that have the deliverables, we will give you a time on when the deliverable is required.
