MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Item Description A23-100 Portable X-Ray System

Reference: AIF, Dated 1 February 2024

1. The 76th AMXG is requesting utilization of funds for the purchase of Four (4) Portable X-ray Units.

2. The requested equipment item descriptions/specifications are outlined below.

SPECIFICATIONS

Input Line Requirements: Automatically adapts to input line voltage100‐130Vac, 50/60Hz, 20 Amperes maximum 200‐250Vac, 50/60Hz, 10 Amperes maximum. May also be portable‐ generator powered X‐Ray Output 10 to 160kV, 0.5mA to 5.0mA (800 watts max.) Constant potential, end‐grounded anode, air cooled versions available.

X‐Ray Tube Window: Beryllium 0.8mm (directional) 40° directional

Radiation Output: 14R/min at 50cm filtered with 0.5 inches (12.7mm) aluminum at 160kV, 5mA

Radiation Leakage: Less than 2.0 Roentgens per hour at 1 meter from the X‐Ray tube target

Effective Focal Spot: Standard: 0.7mm x 1.0mm (0.03in x 0.04in) EN12543 0.5mm x 0.5mm (0.02in x 0.02in) nominal IEC60336in

Ambient Temp: 100% duty cycle @ 120°F (49°C)

Duty Cycle: 100% ‐ air‐cooled

Storage Temp: ‐30°F to 160°F (‐35°C to 71°C)

Anode Cooling: Fan forced air cooling

Tube Head Dimensions: No greater than 7.25" Diameter, 30" Length

Air Cooled: 33lbs. (14.97kg)

X‐Ray Control Unit: Digital microcomputer based with local control, RS‐232 and Ethernet

X‐Ray Control Unit Weight: 26lbs. (11.8kg) approx.

• Tubehead Low Pressure Cut‐Out @ 25psi (1.72 Bar)

• Extra key (1) for Control Unit Safety Lock

GUI Control Software for the GUI is specifically designed for controlling series systems. As an alternative to the front panel control, the GUI will allow the user to control all necessary functions of the system from a user friendly windows based menu. Additionally the GUI can be used as a diagnostic tool when the system is controlled via the front panel.
