SUBJECT: Request for Brand Name Purchase – Air Compressors
1. 76 AMXG requests the purchase of the following:
a. One (1) Sullair Model #TS32-300HA
i. Toshiba 460 V TEFC Premium Efficient Main Drive Motor
ii. Enclosure
iii. Cold Weather Package
iv. High Static Fan
v. Phase Monitor
vi. Drawings, training, and delivery/set-up
2. 76 AMXG requests the Sullair Model air compressors due to form, fit, and function. The requested compressor is being used in conjunction with other Sullair compressor(s). To purchase another brand could cost the Government in excess of per air compressor due to installation, troubleshooting, and data rights of proprietary information owned by the original
OEM.
3. Purchasing the air compressor will require no mods for installment; therefore, saving the
Government funds. With that stated, it would be financially beneficial for the Government to purchase the Sullair Air Compressor.
4. Market research was performed reviewing Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) and System for Award Management (SAM) databases using North American Industry Classification System
(NAICS) code (333912) looking for companies that could provide Air Compressors. A review of small businesses to include 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, and
Women Owned Small Business was conducted in search of a company that could provide Air
Compressors. In review, there are a t least three (3) vendors that have expressed interest for this commodity requirement.
