2.1 General. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring all services, parts and components provided under this contract are in IAW the terms and conditions outlined in this

SOW.

2.2 Item Description. Portable CMM Arm shall meet the specifications and tooling as defined below:

One (1) each Portable Tube CMM Arm for the Tube and Cable shop meeting the following requirements:

The arm shall be able to measure tubes of diameter range 3/16” to 3”

The arm shall be able to measure tubes of end to end length of up to 12’. Measuring a portion of the tube, relocating the arm, and using already measured reference points to continue the inspection will satisfy this requirement.

The arm shall have 7 axis of rotation.

The arm shall be accurate within +/- 0.003”

The arm shall be powered by a standard US 120V outlet, or have batteries that are recharged by means of a standard outlet.

The arm shall have means for either traditional U-shaped non-contact tube probes or be equipped with a laser probe capable of measuring tubes. In either case, the measurement range for both needs to encompass at least 3/16” to 3” diameter tubes.

The arm shall be able to communicate with CNC tube benders and send correctional data to the bender based on the measured tube.

The arm shall be provided with software capable of creating master data from a measured sample part.

The arm shall be able to provide XYZ coordinate measurements, Length Rotation Angle

(LRA), and absolute LRA data from the measured tube and have means to export that data as a PDF file.

The XYZ, LRA, and absolute LRA data measured shall highlight out of tolerance areas when compared to the master data

The arm shall come with a certified length standard

Contractor shall provide a mounting method with any necessary hardware in order for the

CMM Arm to be mounted to either a Newport RT series table or a MultiSystems table.

The inspection program shall have a method to input tolerances

The contractor shall provide means to convert Supravision files of .$$$ extension to the standard file type readable by the arm. If the software can naturally import and read .$$$ files then this will be considered to satisfy the requirement.

The arm shall have means of wireless communication between the arm and computer running inspection software. This can be Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or equivalent standard wireless communications.

The arm shall come with a tripod or equivalent stand for portable use

8 operators, both hands on arm training and software training. Training shall be for two days, for eight (8) hours per day and shall be specified in the contractor’s proposal.

The contractor shall provide a detailed operators manual for the arm and software provided with the arm. The manuals shall include basic setup procedures with tutorials for the features of the software and arm, as well as common troubleshooting help. The manuals must be provided on a CD/DVD as well as two hard copies. In-software and online tutorials shall be considered to meet the tutorial requirement and will not be required in the hard copies except a method of how to access the tutorials online or in-software.

2.4 CMM Arm Acceptance Test Requirements

The arm shall be able to perform the following acceptance tests on-site Tinker Air Force

Base before training begins. Contractor shall be present for entirety of acceptance testing.

Data received from acceptance testing shall conform to the tolerances specified in section

2.2 of this Statement of Work. The tubes mentioned in this section can either be supplied by the contractor or can be from current production tubes being produced when the arm is delivered:

Measure two tubes and reverse engineer the master data.

Measure two tubes and compare against master data supplied by customer, and export

XYZ, LRA, and absolute LRA data with out of tolerances indicated.

Measure two tubes while changing over probes and exporting the XYZ, LRA, and absolute

LRA data. If using a laser then changing over is not necessary.

2.5 Trade In: Current equipment listed below is available for trade-in. Contractor shall include the trade-in value of the listed current equipment in the contractor’s proposal. Contractor shall coordinate with the Government SME to ship the current equipment to the contractor. The

Contractor shall send a pre-paid and labeled container to the Government in order for current equipment to be shipped to the contractor’s facility within ten (10) days of contract award.
