Responses to Questions
RFP # FA8125-14-R-0001
13 June 2014
Question 1. On the initial CUIL Excel spread sheet form part number MNHU14-250FIX was listed. On line 118 of the updated CUIL Excel spread sheet it is listed as item number MNHU14-
250DFIX. Please clarify the exact item to be priced.
Response 1. The MNHU14-250DFIX part number is the proper item to be quoted.
Question 2. On the CUIL Excel spreadsheet, line 321, item number Z21772, there are dimension listed, but not specified as to what they refer. What are the exact bulb overall dimensions, bulb inner dimensions, wall thickness, leg width, overall height, and leg thickness?
Response 2. The dimensions as the mfg listed were .375” +/- .039” Overall Height X .040” +/-
.015” Leg Thickness X .125” +/- .025” Bulb Dia. The Mfg. Part Number would drive them to those dimensions.
Question 3. On the CUIL Excel spreadsheet, lines 365-369, do the rivets need to be in the soft version or hard version? What is the diameter of the shank for item number AT-107A-3, flush rivet?
Response 3. These are Rivet Sets, such as are used to properly install the rivets. These are not
Sets of Rivets. AT-107A-3 is a 401 shank.
Question 4. Will the Government please specify in the Proposal Organization Table 2.3 the exact number of Hard Copies of each volume in addition to the Original Hard Copy that are to be submitted?
Response 4. Proposal Organization Table 2.3 calls out the number of hard copies for each volume. For example, if the required number of hard copies is 3. One hard copy would be identified as the “orginal” and the other 2 hard copies would be identified as “copy 1 or 2.” The orginal is not in addition to what is stated in Table 2.3.
Question 5. Reference 2.7 Directs the Original Proposal be mailed to the address listed. It is assumed that the USPS delivery will be made to the Tinker Mail room and distribution will be facilitated by internal mail distribution. Reference 4.2 directs the offer to submit Volume IV
Past Performance fifteen (15) calendar days prior to the solicitation closing date with disqualification consequences if not received in the time directed. Please specify how the
Government will confirm the required delivery date given that the original of Volume II Past
Performance that will be delivered though the USPS with no record of receipt?
FA8125-14-R-0001-0002
Response 5. The offeror implies that offerors are "required" to submit past performance information early IAW 4.2, and if they don't they will be disqualified. That statement is incorrect. 4.2 states offerors are "requested" to submit past performance early, and failure to do so will not result in disqualification. The government records the time and date proposals are received to verify that they were received before the proposal closing time and date.
Question 6. Please specify how the Government requires the delivery of the additional copies of
Volume II Past Performance to ensure they are received in the time directed?
Please specify how the Government will confirm the required delivery date of the original proposal Volumes I, III, IV given that they will are required be delivered though the USPS with no record of receipt?
Response 6. It is the offeror's responsibility to ensure proposals are received by the closing date stated in the solicitation. Offerors are encouraged to send proposals early enough to ensure it is delivered before the closing date and time. There is no requirement that proposals are to be delivered by USPS. All mail services will deliver to Tinker AFB.
