SUBJECT: Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) –

B-1 Nose Radome Additional Questions / Answers

46. L3050241 PL identifies -017 and -019 as metal strip. It calls for RAM-R125. Can we please get more details on the material and processes used to make L3050241-017 &

-019?

a. The manufacturing procedures for L3050241-017 and -019 are as specified for

Spares production L3223885-005. The Manufacturing of L3223885-005 requires the use of MIL-P-46112 Type 1, and coating per TA0108-007. The EDL has been updated to include these drawings, there will be additional electrical requirements that must be met and verified.

47. If not through the PSO, how do we obtain the information in B530000 and

B531000? Will the RFP be delayed so that we can get this data?

b. The RFP will not be delayed for this reason. All data is loaded into SAM, contractors should get a notification that it can be accessed and retrieved. If a contractor has an issue, contact Federal Service Desk (FSD) to get access: 1-866-

606-8220, https://www.fsd.gov/gsafsd_sp. Only the FSD helpdesk can assist with

SAM issues.

48. Will an approved supplier list be provided for the adhesive TBO-120-011?

a. No approved supplier list will be provided, but the requirements set forth in

TB0120-011 must be met for the polyimide adhesive.

49. The material specification LB130-125 does not refer to any process specification. Is there a manufacturing specification that governs the lay-up, curing and inspection of the composites section (L3050241)?

a. No process specification governs the manufacturing procedures.

50. Multiple Finish Codes are called up on various drawings. Can you please supply the definitions for all the Finish Codes?

a. All material codes shall be as defined by drawing L0000024.

51. Note 17 of DWG L3050242 indicates that L3010244 Cover and HT4031-4L12

Fasteners are installed on Next Higher Assembly (NHA). Are the cover and fastener to be supplied as loose items?

a. Yes, the covers and fasteners should be delivered as required to complete the assembly of the L3050242-051.

https://www.fsd.gov/gsafsd_sp

52. How does the USG intend to evaluate beam deflection in the new radomes using the existing curves (“testing values”) given the build-to-print criteria?

a. All materials to be used on radomes are either original or form, fit, and function replacements. No changes to the spec will be made. Radomes will be required to meet all testing criteria as established in the EDL
