Vendor Questions for Solicitation FA8118-19-R-0043
Q: The Statement of Work (SOW), Section 5, lists only one item that is a 100% replacement item (in addition to those replacement items called out in the Tech Order), and that is Part Number 1A81200205, Brake Motor Blower. Was this item a 100% replacement item on the current contract that is in effect now, or is this the first time it is being replaced?
A: To clarify, this motor is on the “pre-approved Over and Above (O&A) list”. The upgrade to the newer motors is considered part of this contract effort as needed.
Q: The SOW also states, “Due to high cost of certain specific replacement components, if the following parts (1A81200205) are discovered to be unsuitable for re-use, over and above will be considered for the replacement costs.” For clarification, does this mean that Over & Above will apply for replacing the current Brake Motor Blower PN 198-1200-802D with PN 1A81200205?
A: Yes, Over & Above will apply in order to replace the older 198-1200-802D or 1981200001 motors.
Q: Tech order 16C1-8-4-4 states to replace/upgrade Synchro Assy, PN 299-3481-041A, with PN 3A11201001-1 or PN 3A11201001-2. Which is the preferred part number for replacement?
A: For the synchro assembly, PN 3A11201001-2 is considered preferred. It carries NSN 6105-01-511-8697.
