STATEMENT OF WORK
for
Guardian Arena Support Equipment
October 2024
SECTION I
1.0 BACKGROUND:
1.1 The Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force (CMSSF) is hosting the 2024 Guardian Arena
(GA2024).
The purpose of the GA2024 is to provide the opportunity to expand upon the tremendous success of the inaugural event and emphasize the continuous importance of cultivating a combat-ready mindset, by challenging Guardians in problem solving, space knowledge, and physical strength.
Linking military and civilian space enterprises while instilling esprit de corps and an opportunity to operationalize the Guardian Ideals in a healthy competition. The competition will require participants to complete a series of cognitively challenging tactical tasks and physical challenges as part of a three-member team representing their unit.
1.2 The GA2024 is collocated at Cape Canaveral, FL with the Space Force Association (SFA) conference in Orlando, FL (where winning teams will be announced) and the USSF T-10 miler at Cape Canaveral, FL. Participants will be able to attend the GA2024 and SFA conference as unit-funded travel. The collocation of these three events within an hour of one another enhances the impact of the two (2) competitions and the knowledge gained during participation at the SFA conference. Further, the proximity of the events increases the attendance of senior leaders at the GA2024 to support their Unit’s team at the Space Force’s preeminent competition.
