AF/A4AFEMSAir Force Equipment Management SystemAir Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) is designed to provide the US Air Force (USAF) with a dedicated, totally integrated, transaction‐driven, processing system that facilitates management of equipment resources. AFEMS is used by Air Force equipment managers to determine, authorize, provide visibility to, and report the types and quantities of equipment required to accomplish the Air Force mission. AFEMS processes all Air Force data for management of support equipment assets. It supports the Air Force in reporting and depreciation of in‐use and warehouse capital assets using depreciation logic and calculations, on‐line screens, and reports. The boards supported are officer promotion, command screening, federal recognition, unit vacancy, Reduction In Force (RIF), Selective Early Retirement Boards (SERB) and Force Shaping Boards (FSB). AFPROMS also provides life-cycle support for AF active duty enlisted promotion selection Grades E-5 through E-9. Enlisted promotion Selection is made through combinations of weighted factors including test scores. AF/A4ALMSSAutomated Logistics Management Support SystemThe Automated Logistics Management and Support System (ALMSS) is a multi-user, multi-tasking logistics support system that provides an integrated logistics support capability for cradle to grave item management. ALMSS provides global Logistics Support of the U-2 Aircraft, Sensors, Data Links, Distributed Common Ground Systems (DCGS), Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Predator/Reaper and Special Projects assets managed by the Command and Control Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) Division and other portfolios. ALMSS is also used to provide common item ordering support of bonded stock for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). ALMSS functionality includes: item management, inventory control, distribution, requirements management, order fulfillment, supplier procurements and management, financial management and visibility reporting. SAF/FMAPOAutomated Project OrderThe Automated Project Order (APO) system is responsible for electronically processing AFMC Form 181’s (Project Orders). APO is used to obligate Depot Purchased Equipment Maintenance (DPEM) funds for project workloads. APO was designed to provide the workload and financial status for all end items repaired organically and identifies the need for adjustments of funds. APO automates the ALC 181 process and coordination, and provides an interface with the FIT/DIFMS, Express (D087X) and G004L‐R systems. APO provides confirmation and approval that Air Force Working Capital Fund (AFWCF) funds are available and sufficient so that aircraft, missiles and related support equipment can be inducted for organic AFMC depot maintenance. CDAS supports AFLCMC/HNC supply chain operations by providing stock, store and issue assets capabilities for cryptologic support customers in CCSD/Lackland enclave as an asset and inventory management system for use by any service, agency, or contractor doing business with federal activities. SAF/FMFIABSFinancial Inventory Accounting and Billing System (Module of Stock Control System)SCS is an on-line and real-time data system that is in a steady state life cycle phase. The SCS operational mission is to automate the management of supply and provide enhanced processing of stock control transactions and management information at USAF and USMC inventory control points. The SCS's primary asset management functions are to provide current asset visibility, maintain balances, process requisitions, and provide status to worldwide customers. The high-level asset management functional areas contained in the SCS are requisitioning, item management data, inventory, due-in/receipts, materiel returns (excess), controlled issue of items, depot support, miscellaneous supporting functions, and reutilization and dispositioning. The FIABS system is designed to process and account for any change in inventory or accounting information related to that inventory for the AFMC depots, accounting for both AFWCF and GF transactions. This information includes both depot wholesale and retail transactions that can impact inventory from initial procurement through final disposition. The system translates the transactions into general ledger accounts (GLA) and produces billings to customers. Most of the assets in REMIS are categorized as Military Equipment (ME), such as Aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs). A small portion of the assets in REMIS are categorized as OM&S. These assets are full scale aerial targets, subscale aerial targets, nuclear cruise missiles, and conventional derivatives of nuclear cruise missiles. REMIS is an Oracle based system that was custom designed for the Air Force to track maintenance and assignment data for its aircraft fleet.
