FY23 USAFA Cadet Footlockers
RFQ: FA700023Q0024
Questions and Answers
QUESTION 1:
Can the government provide a brand name or previous provider of foot lockers?
ANSWER 1:
Footlockers were previously acquired from Advantus Corp., 12276 San Jose Blvd, Ste 618, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
QUESTION 2:
I was wondering if you can confirm if you want the items on Attachment A included with the quote or is that a framework for the lockers requested?
ANSWER 2:
The items on Attachment A (AKA: Attachment 1) are provided as a framework and are included as historical recommendations. Please refer to the “Addenda to FAR 52.212-1, item d(2)(b) Descriptive Literature.”
QUESTION 3:
Can I send you a sample swatch of the Blue exterior to make sure your customer is fine with the color?
ANSWER 3:
A sample swatch can be sent after award has been made.
QUESTION 4:
Regarding shipping to the United States Air Force Academy, CO 80840, if we ship 12 footlockers per pallet and 20 pallets per 53’ trailer, we’ll have 40 footlockers that we’ll have to ship separately (4 shipments x 240 footlockers each = 960). Can we stack 10 footlockers at the end (or the front) of each trailer load? Note, these 10 trunks would be loose, not palletized. Please let us know if this is an option. If not, we would plan on shipping the remainder (40 footlockers, 10 each on 4 pallets) in a 5th shipment.
ANSWER 4:
Yes, this option (10 trunks not palletized, each trailer load) is acceptable.
QUESTION 5:
With regard to the recommended components on the footlocker parts list, we can provide hardware with either a bright brass, antique brass/bronze, or a nickel finish. The hardware is identical from a performance perspective although the nickel finish is less expensive. Should we submit multiple bids highlighting the different hardware options? The RFQ states the evaluation team will review the descriptive literature to determine if the quote meets the requirements identified in this solicitation. The solicitation calls for brass plated hardware. Please advise.
ANSWER 5:
Yes, as stated in the specification, “Equal or superior Buy American Act components that perform the recommended component's mission are acceptable. Components herein are historical recommendations,” allows acceptance for the above mentioned components (bright brass, antique brass/bronze, or a nickel finish).
