This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a sources sought notice for a high pressure shock tube for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 for the upcoming acquisition for the USAFA shock tube. All businesses capable of providing a high pressure shock tube are invited to respond. Any information provided by the industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis.
10 CONS/ PKC is seeking potential sources with the ability to provide the shock tube. The applicable NAICS Code is 334519. The size standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract is anticipated to be a firm fixed price contract.

Administrative Design Requirements • Vendor is responsible for design, manufacture, subcontracting, and installation
• Vendor shall provide the burst diaphragms required for validation testing.
• vendor will submit monthly progress reports
• install along west wall of Engine Test Cell #1
(ETC#1). See Appendix A
• Components must fit through a 95in x 95in overhead door.
• Support structure must account for a 5 ½ in step up in the test cell floor.
• Initiation, monitoring and control of the tube must be achieved from the control room

Factory Acceptance

• Area of work restricted to ETC#1 and associated control room.
• Working hours between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, no work on weekends or federal holidays.
• Permission to work at times other than those specified shall be obtained from the Contracting Officer at least 5 working days in advance.
• Vendor shall provide all transportation for personnel & equipment
• Parking of vendor's vehicles restricted to designated spaces
• Vendor shall use reasonable required amounts of electricity and water from existing USAFA outlets without charge.
• Installation practices shall comply with
OSHA 19.10 & OSHA 19.26
Schedule
• Work shall be completed no later than 540 days after award
• On-site installation shall last no longer than a cumulative time of 12 calendar months
Warranty
• Minimum of one year from the date of final acceptance
Training
• Propose a training plan at the time of quote
• Submit final training plan before delivery
