1. Is the treatment area all of the 515 acres and stream banks described in the PWS, or is it only within the specified areas that will be in the provided maps? The total area will be approximately 25 acres for herbicide treatment. Maps will be provided.

2. Are there any restric ons on the type of herbicides that can be used? Per the PWS “Dobbins ARB approved herbicides to be applied as foliar spray for invasive plant species and shall be a finish spray solution. Only aquatic use solutions shall be used in aquatic areas.” The list of approved pesticides will be provided to the contractor after the award.

3. The PWS says that applica ons are to be made twice per year between the dates of October 1 and September 30, and re-applica ons are to be made before October 15. So is the applica on year star ng on October 1st and spanning to September 30th for every year? Or is the applica on me star ng on October 1, 2024, and in subsequent years applica ons have to be finished by September 30th? For many invasive species, herbicide applica ons work best in middle to late October as the plant is going into dormancy. Between October 1 – September 30 of each year (e.g. Oct 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025), the contractor will apply herbicide, etc., IAW the PWS. The application and work should occur twice a year; Fall (likely October) and Spring (likely April). Herbicide will need reapplication is the 95% criteria isn’t met.

4. Will there be a provided list of invasive species that has been observed on-site and which of those are of high priority. Yes, after contract is awarded. The species are typical of Georgia invasives.

5. Will there be a monitoring report required a er each treatment, or will the Herbicide Logs be sufficient? The PWS does not require monitoring reports. The PWS requires a completed DD1532 form after every application and then a total of pounds of pesticides/herbicides applied, at the end of the fiscal year (September 30). The completed DD1532 forms will be completed by the licensed herbicide applicator and provided to the natural resource program manager in Environmental Flight (CEV) within 5 days of the herbicide application.

6. Will there be a site visit prior to submission of proposals? Yes, a site visit will be arranged as part of the solicita on when released.

7. How long has it been since the site has been treated? Approximately 5 years.

8. Would it be possible to extend the 95% minimum kill from 2 weeks to a month? Most herbicides do not show results for at least two weeks, others take up to 1 month. While 95% is achievable, the me frame of 2 weeks may not be. No, Dobbins CEV wishes to keep it at 2 weeks.

9. Is this no ce an indica on to replace a contract for this work that exists presently? No, no contract currently exists.

10. Is there an approximate me frame of when this work will commence? Dobbins CEV would like the work to begin in October 2024.

11. Will this be an ongoing program or have specific commencement and ending mes? This contract will be a base year with 4 op on years.
