Yamry has reviewed the Statement of Work, technical specifications, drawings, submittal register, wage determination, provisions and clauses, and Section H special contract requirements. OFFER COMMITMENTS

Firm-fixed-price offer: $84,900.00

FOB Destination: Building 906, Minneapolis–St. Paul Air Reserve Station

Offer validity: 60 calendar days

Contract completion: within 120 calendar days after NTP

2 Technical Approach

2.1 Preconstruction & Field Verification

• Participate in the preconstruction conference and coordinate base access, security, working hours, staging, deliveries, and protection requirements.

• Field-verify openings, counters, soffits, deal trays, ADA station geometry, cable pass-throughs, and adjoining finishes before fabrication.

• Submit the baseline schedule, submittal register, Accident Prevention Plan, Activity Hazard Analysis, contact list, product data, ballistic certificates, and manufacturer shop drawings.

2.2 Proposed Ballistic Glazing System

The proposed basis-of-design is an Armortex custom three-station ballistic barrier system approximately 19 feet 2 inches wide by 4 feet high, with an additional 18-inch drop at the ADA station. Yamry has obtained Armortex Quote QT066689 for a custom-fabricated system using 1-1/4-inch SP1250 Lexgard polycarbonate rated UL 752 Level 3.

The proposed assembly includes compatible clear or dark-bronze anodized aluminum U-channel at the counter and vertical joints, aluminum F-channel at the head, transaction-area components, dowel assembly hardware, fasteners, and manufacturer-prepared shop drawings.

PROPOSED SYSTEM SUPPLIER

UL 752 Level 3 ISO 9001 Certified

Custom shop drawings

Armortex will fabricate the system following Yamry’s verified field measurements and Government approval of the technical submittal. Final frame construction, deal-tray configuration, anchorage, finish selection, and interface details will conform to the approved shop drawings and contract requirements.

2.3 Removal & Installation

• Protect counters, adjacent finishes, equipment, circulation paths, and non-work areas from dust, debris, and damage.

• Carefully remove the existing polycarbonate barrier and framing without damaging work designated to remain.

• Remove demolition debris from the installation and dispose of it off site in accordance with contract requirements.

• Install the approved ballistic glazing and framing plumb, level, rigid, aligned, sealed, and anchored in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

• Maintain ADA station geometry, transaction-counter functions, cable pass-throughs, and required clearances.

2 Technical Approach – Continued

Pre-Staging & Finish Restoration Yamry will receive the ballistic glazing system at its St. Joseph facility, inspect the shipment for damage and completeness, and pre-stage the assembly before mobilization. Verified field dimensions will be reconciled with the fabricated components using a measure-twice, cut-once approach to minimize onsite adjustments, noise, dust, and disruption within the ID office.

Where the thicker glazing assembly requires selective wall modification, Yamry will perform controlled cutting, required backing or framing adjustments, and complete patching and finish restoration. Disturbed masonry, gypsum board, casework, counters, wall base, and adjacent finishes will be restored to a condition equal to or better than the preconstruction condition.

2.4 Quality, Safety & Closeout

• Provide qualified superintendent, quality-control, and site-safety oversight during onsite activities.

• Perform preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections; maintain required daily records and progress photographs.

• Conduct pre-final and final inspections, complete punch-list corrections, and deliver as-built drawings, material records, warranty documentation, and construction/debris reporting.

• Provide the specified five-year glazing-material warranty and one-year overall construction warranty.

EXECUTION PRIORITY

The visitor control center is a sensitive operational environment. Yamry’s approach emphasizes controlled demolition, clean work practices, short onsite duration, direct supervision, and complete daily restoration of the work area.
