1. The solicitation states that there are no known asbestos or lead hazards associated with this work. 3.8.1. In 4.2.2, the instructions are for handling hazardous waste and materials. If by chance, asbestos, lead or hazardous waste and materials are found would this result in a change order?

Response: Assume there are no asbestos or lead hazards. Any discovery of asbestos or lead hazards are to be highlighted, reported and will be addressed under separate contract.

2. Because this is a government contract, is it required to have certification from Registered Architect or Professional Engineer licensed in Massachusetts or can they be licensed in any other State? 3.9.3.2 C.

Response: Per AFRC Design contracts, R.A. or P.E. needs to be licensed in Massachusetts.

3. According to the proposed timeline, does the next submittal time start after the number of days or does the time start after the 7 day review and 5 day comment periods? 7.1.2-7 Please clarify.

Response: Per SOW the 'next submittal time' starts after the day the previous design meeting is held.

4. Are we to assume these days are calendar days? 7.1.2-7 Response: concur - assume calendar days.
