All lodging rooms have existing door locks and a separate, standalone "Room Booking System" - project intent is to install key card/occupancy sensors to manage HVAC on/off and occupied/unoccupied settings.

All lodging buildings have existing DDC controllers, but not sure whether they have a 'spare DI available' - ascertain at site visit

There was never an intent to integrate into Room Booking System - this was always intended to be a key card wall-mounted occupancy switch to control HVAC on/off and occupied/unoccupied settings.

1. Are the existing R2 JACEs field busses Lon and if so are the field controllers open Lon or proprietary?

Response: All R2 JACEs are open LON, not proprietary

2. Are there any “Legacy” protocols in use on the exiting JACES that will need to be carried/ accounted for on the new N4 JACEs such as JCIs N2, Honeywell’s C-Bus, Siemens Apogee or other ?

Response: No "Legacy" protocols - just industry standard than Lon and BACnet

3. We will need periodic access to the existing base R2 Web-Supervisor via Windows Remote Desktop to review the existing R2 JACE Lon points, will this be a problem.

Access can be provided at Industrial Technician, EMCS Manager's desk or via hardwired LAN connection at JACEs inside mechanical rooms
