About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a solicitation for air charter and ground transportation services between Armenia and Germany/Kosovo. The Q&A addresses details about transporting military personnel, weapons, ammunition, and a field hospital (EMEDS) across multiple flights and ground routes.
Key operational specifications include: maximum luggage dimensions of 250cm x 79cm x 112cm with 32kg weight limit per passenger; weapons shipments consisting of up to 60 firearms in boxes of 5-6 weapons each; 15-17,000 rounds of ammunition in 15 boxes; UN0012 ammunition classification; field hospital cargo requiring 35-ton capacity and 250m3 volume. Critical requirements state that transportation routes must avoid countries lacking diplomatic relations with Armenia (specifically Turkey and Azerbaijan), contractors must obtain Armenian MoD security clearance, and all handling/loading must be managed by the transportation company. The document confirms this is a new contract, though a similar previous contract (FA568524P0024) existed. No NATO or duty-free customs clearances are provided, and no USG assistance will be available for diplomatic clearances.
