DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

31ST Contracting Flight (USAFE) Bldg. 600 Aviano AB, Italy PREPARED BY: TSgt Alexander L. Newman

Combined Synopsis/Solicitation

Coordinator – Reference (FA5682-15-T-0006)

1 Will students already have US driving licenses? Yes

2 Will students all be experienced with driving using a manual gearbox or will some have to be trained on this? No training needed only evaluation

3 Para 1.2 Is the expectation that the students can be trained in all the stated requirements with just one 45 minute road session plus the stated 45 minute classroom session? In our professional experience that seems too short. Is this in addition to the Theoretical session described in Para 1.2.1? KTR will evaluate the member and if the member is found not to be a safe driver, another training session will be coordinated at a future date. 31 FW/SE and the Unit will be responsible to take further actions, not the KTR. (yes; to the second question)

4 Para 1.1.1 states up to 21 students per week for the one-day session per week planned. But para 1.2.2 I states minimum 10 maximum 14 students for each one-day course. Which is correct? Minimum 10 max 21 for one day course. The number of students will be provided to the KTR with 48 hours advance notice. (Please make necessary changes to para 1.2.2.1

5 Will space be provided or available to perform basic mechanics for the vehicles? The vehicles will be in the parking lot. No specific area is provided and no mechanic work is expected to be performed by KTR.

6 Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past?

If available, please provide the incumbent contract number. There was a previous contract for a driver’s training course on Aviano AB. It is not an incumbent contractor as it ended several years ago and was not renewed. The contract # was FA5682-06-M-0006, for reference.
