Questions and Answers

Solicitation #FA560624Q2046

DFAC Ovens, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany

1. Q.: Is the contractor responsible for only delivering the materials to the base or also installation of the equipment and under warranty? If yes, please specify the time for which the contractor is under warranty, or if the security clearance is required. A.:

yes, the successful contractor will be responsible for delivering and installing the items under warranty on Base. The contractor must provide warranty 24 months after the moment when the installation is complete. Yes, there will be security clearance required for the contractor’s employees who provide the delivery and installation.

2. Q.: If contractor is awarded as winner, how many days do we have to deliver the equipment from award day? A.: 60 days after receipt of order.

3. Q.: What do you mean by this:

- Quantities – 2 each top unit C4ET-6.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF and 1 each bottom unit C4ET-10.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF: A.: we need 1 COMBI OVEN, STACKED UNIT, that includes the top, bottom and staking kit. We also need 1 top unit since we have a bottom oven (steamer type C4eT 10.10 ES -N and C4eD 10.10 ES)

- Is there already 1ea C4ET-10.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF available on site? Or why do you only need 1ea “10.10”? If you have one available that is to be used as the bottom oven for one of the top ovens, then you would have to definitely stack a Convotherm unit on top with a stacking kit. You can place another brand of combi oven on top of a Convotherm (Or a Convotherm on another brand of combi oven). A.: Yes, we currently have 2 bottom unit 10.10 (C4eT 10.10 ES – N and C4eD 10.10 ES) and we are purchasing a stacking kit to go with the top unit.

- Please clarify what is actually needed to be quoted in our submission.

A.:

1 COMBI OVEN, STACKED UNIT (top, bottom and stacking kit) o - Top unit: Holds up to 6+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart o - Bottom unit: Holds up to 10+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart

1 COMBI OVEN, (top unit only and stacking kit) o - Top unit: Holds up to 6+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart

2 COMBI OVEN TALL SINGLE UNIT

o Can hold up to 20 full-size (1/1 GN) pans or 40 half-size (1/2 GN) pans

- Also stacking the “6.10” on a “10.10” will create a height of the stacked unit of

1844mm t the height point. Stacking a “6.10” on a “6.10” will create a stacked height of 1572mm, but of course provide for less capacity. This is similar for any brand of combi oven. Please clarify. A.: we currently have a “6.10” on a “10.10” and the height is just fine

- The Convotherm C4ET-10.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF (bottom oven) will also have 19.5KW and requires 32A fuse. The stated 11KW and 16A is for the smaller “6.10” only.

A.: yes, we are tracking the C4ET-10.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF (bottom oven) have

19.5KW.

- On CLIN 0002, there is no requirement for a water filter. This is very much recommended for any kind of combi oven to provide for reliable performance and minimize build up of lime/calcium. Pease confirm and update if this is desired. A.: yes, we would like the water filter

4. Q.: On the solicitation document, you state for CLIN 0001 a quantity of 2ea. But the requirement in the salient characteristics actually states “Quantities – 2 each top unit C4ET-6.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF and 1 each bottom unit C4ET-10.10-ES-MXP-DI-NSF”. Can you please confirm if the quantity on the solicitation is for the items as stated in the salient characterists (2x 6.10 plus 1x 10.10 + 2 teckng kits and water filter)?

A.:

1 COMBI OVEN, STACKED UNIT (top, bottom and stacking kit) o - Top unit: Holds up to 6+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart o - Bottom unit: Holds up to 10+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart 1 COMBI OVEN, (top unit only and stacking kit) o - Top unit: Holds up to 6+1 GN-1/1 pans spaced 67mm apart

2 COMBI OVEN TALL SINGLE UNIT

o Can hold up to 20 full-size (1/1 GN) pans or 40 half-size (1/2 GN) pans

5. Q.: Please confirm and clarify that 2 stacking kits that allow 2 combi ovens to be stacked on top of each other must be offered.

1. A.: we just need 1 stacking kit if the stacked unit already have the stacking kit.
