Title 1.00 General Prefatory Remarks

1.01 Work Scope:

The project comprises connection of various buildings to the AB-owned LAN system.

Buildings # 134, 225. 226, 227, 332, 333 and 335 shall be connected to Bldg 212 via an existing conduit system with an optical fiber cable. At Bldg 134 earthwork and the installation of conduits are required. RJ 45 LAN junction boxes shall be installed at different publicly accessible locations in the building.

All work shall be performed in close coordination with the responsible offices of the AB and Comm Section. All work times shall be coordinated by means of a construction time schedule. The costs of the construction time schedule shall be included and will not be separately reimbursed.

1.02 Applicable Regulations:

The following regulations can be read on weekdays from 0700 to 1600 hrs in the Design Section (CEPM), Bldg 119, Room 215, on Spangdahlem AB.

(1) Traffic Regulations

(AFI 31-204 IAW SAB 13-201 and Supplements) latest edition.

(2) Base Fire Protection Regulations (SABR 92-1) latest edition.

(3) Security Regulations (AFI 207-1 and Supplements) latest edition.

4) Accident prevention codes of the construction trade.

All AF accident prevention regulations and AF fire protection and AFOSH standards.

1.03 Construction Site Location:

The construction site is located in a military area.

1.04 Base Entry Passes:

Contractor personnel can access the construction site only if they are in possession of an ID (pass) issued by the user of the real property. For each employee to be assigned to the construction site the contractor must submit the base pass submittal package handed over to him in the preconstruction meeting to the construction manager responsible for him at least 4 weeks prior to work start.

Regarding the pass request the following is to be observed:

Persons, which are not in possession of a valid pass and start work on the AB need the following documents in order to request base entry passes:

· Police certificate of conduct, max. 1 month old

· Copy of identification card

· Security questionnaire ( 6-sheets-method)

· Request for Base Entry Identification ( Form 79 )

· Residency check for Employment with the United States

Air Forces in Europe (Form 19)

· Acknowledgement of AB order

- Request for Personnel Security Action ( Form 2583 )

Persons not entitled to access the AB via passes (e.g. suppliers) must be escorted by authorized persons. Maximum 4 persons per escort can be processed in. Attention is to be paid that the escorted persons are processed out again when leaving the AB. Escort must be permanently present. Expenditure of time will not be separately reimbursed.

At least two (2) persons of each firm should have an escort permit.

Passes, which are no longer needed, shall be immediately returned to the issuing point. Loss of a pass shall also be immediately reported to that place.

Pass submittal package shall be submitted to the construction management in one copy, completely filled out.

In addition a list of all persons and firms participated in the construction project shall be submitted.

The contractor must inform his employees that they may be subject to search upon entry or exit of the AB upon request by the responsible officer. Expenditure of time will not be reimbursed.

1.05 Work Hours:

Work shall be performed during the normal work hours between 0700 and 1700 hrs. Overtimes, work at night, on Saturdays, Sundays or US holidays require approval which must be obtained at least 48 hours in advance.

US holidays are:

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, then the previous day will be considered as the holiday or if on a Sunday then the following day will be considered as the holiday.

1.06 Work Stoppages:

Work stoppages may occur during the performance of work due to military exercises which may occur every 90 days. Each exercise lasts from 3 to 4 days. Upon direction from the Contracting Officer the contractor will cease vehicular traffic to and from the job site and all work will be laid down. If possible, the Contracting Officer will give the contractor 72 hours notice of all military exercises.

1.07 Damage to Property of the US Government:

The contractor shall repair to original condition at his cost any damages to US Government property cause by him or his employees. Damages to any utility lines must be repaired within 12 hours. Repairs of communication cables will be performed by an approved qualified company at a cost to be reimbursed by the contractor.

1.08 Security Regulations:

The regulations of the Security Police for entry into military areas must be strictly adhered to by all employees. They may traffic only in the immediate construction area and on access and exit ways. In case of noncompliance with the regulations the employees concerned may be expelled from the military area by the security officer. Instructions by the military police shall be immediately complied with. The contractor is responsible for all personnel employed by him.

1.09 Construction Site and Access Roads:

The surfaces on which the construction site is to be mobilized and the construction material to be stored shall be coordinated with Construction Management. The construction site and work and storage areas shall be kept in an orderly condition and tidied up at the end of each work shift. The contractor may use only those roads for hauling construction material and equipment to and from the construction site which will be assigned for that purpose and in case of inevitable soiling he must immediately clean them.

1.010 Construction Waste and Reusable Construction Parts:

General

All waste and rubble shall be removed daily from the construction site.

According to the Waste Act (AbfG) waste shall be avoided and/or reduced. This means that reusable construction waste shall be recycled.

Illegal disposal of construction waste is not permitted and will be punished by severe fines. It is not permitted to dispose of construction waste on sites outside installations specially assigned for that purpose.

Self-utilization of construction waste requires the authorization by the responsible county administration. .

Since 1 June 1994, non-contaminated construction waste is not accepted anymore on county-owned disposal sites for soil and construction waste but shall be turned over to private enterprises which obtained a concession for that purpose from the County Administration. The County Administration has no influence on the prices asked by these enterprises. Information about the conditions of waste acceptance can be obtained from the waste disposal firm.

The County Administration published in due time before 1

June 1994 a list of those firms which may temporarily store or reuse uncontaminated construction waste.

Information about the conditions of waste acceptance can be obtained from:

Kreisverwaltung Bitburg-Pruem, Regiebetrieb Abfallentsorgung, Triererstr. 1, 54634 Bitburg, Tel. 06561-15-0.

Without being requested to do so, the contractor shall submit to the project engineer proof of the proper disposal at an authorized disposal site.

Reusable Construction Waste Materials:

If not contaminated, they shall be recycled. If it is material which is not cited in the following, it must be clarified with Construction Management in what form and where it shall be disposed of, unless the positions concerned contain already instructions thereto.

Masonry:

Masonry shall be broken into parts for recycling as requested by the disposal firm.

Concrete and Reinforced Concrete:

The demolished material shall be crushed as requested by the disposal firm and the reinforcement material of the reinforced concrete shall be separated from the crushed pieces.

Metals:

Metal parts shall be turned over to the scrap metal firms.

The proceeds of the scrap metal shall be taken into consideration when calculating the unit price.

Non-reusable Materials:

Non-reusable materials shall be disposed of at disposal sites which obtained a concession for them.

Performance of Demolition Work/Disposal:

Demolition work shall be carefully performed without damaging the construction elements which remain in place. Special measures which may be required to do so shall be included in the unit prices.

Demolished material shall be collected separately and also disposed of separately.

If higher disposal fees result because mixed construction waste was delivered they shall be paid by the contractor.

Construction waste in form of slabs (e.g. asbestos cement slabs, styrofoam boards or the like) shall be recovered without being destructed and then disposed of.

”Disposal” in principle means:

Transporting the demolished material to the transportation means (container), loading it and hauling it, depending on the waste type, to the corresponding disposal site.

Wood waste shall be disposed of according to the order on old forest and the stipulations of the disposal firm.

All disposal fees (disposal site costs) shall be included in the unit prices.

Non-contaminated Excavated Soil:

Disposal shall be made at the Rittersdorf disposal site or at an authorized contractor-run disposal site. If disposal is made at a contractor-run disposal site, the contractor shall furnish proof prior to the disposal that this disposal site is authorized.

Contaminated Construction Rubble and Excavated Soil:

is hauled away to a disposal site in Rittersdorf or Dudeldorf or authorized disposal firm.

Order on Packaging Material

Packing material for transportation, external packaging and sales packaging shall be taken back and recycled by the contractor at his cost in accordance with Articles 4, 5 Para 3, 6 Para 2 of the Order on Packaging Material. Noncompliance constitutes an administrative offence in the sense of Article 16 Para 1, No. 11 of the Order on Waste in connection with Article 12 of the Order on Packaging Material and will be fined in accordance with the stipulations of the Act on Administrative Offences.

1.011 Material and Work Quality:

All work described in the specifications shall in principle be offered including delivery and installation ready for operation. Therefore, terms which are self-understood like to deliver, mount, wire and connect ready for operation were omitted as far as possible. The items cited by a brand name in the specifications shall be regarded as guidelines. It not specified otherwise, the materials are evaluated according to the clause about materials and skillful performance.

1.012 Special Conditions for Construction Site:

Toilet facilities are not available. The contractor may place a chemical toilet after coordination with construction management. Resulting costs shall be included in the prices.

Water and electricity are available to the contractor at no cost. The contractor must coordinate the required connections in cooperation with the responsible AB offices.

Backflow preventers must be used at all connections to the water main of Spangdahlem AB. The US-Government cannot be held liable for damages caused and/or work stoppages due to power and water outages.

Interruptions of the power supply shall be limited to what is unavoidable and must be announced to Construction Management at the latest 72 hours in advance.

Titlel 2.00 Construction Site Mobilization 2.01 1 ea construction site shall be set up and construction site facilities shall be provided and maintained, for all work quoted in the specifications. This includes the storage and work places, site sheds, office and material containers etc. required for the performance of the contractual work. A site installation plan based on the requirements by the ordering party shall be submitted by the contractor within 4 weeks after contract award.

2.02 1 ea construction site shall be cleared of all work specified in the aforementioned position. The areas used for the location of construction site facilities shall be restored according to their original condition. Pavements of construction roads, storage and work places etc. shall be removed.

2.03 1 ea chemical toilet shall be installed, provided and maintained for the entire construction time until completion of construction and removed after construction completion.

2.04 30 m construction fence for flat/inclined installation of construction site on paved/unpaved surface, consisting of individual elements with galvanized tubular steel frame and grid, upper edge of fence

2.00 m above ground, shall be installed and removed after construction completion.

2.05 20 m construction fence for flat/inclined installation of construction site on paved/unpaved surface, consisting of individual elements with galvanized tubular steel frame and grid, upper edge of fence

1.00 m above ground, shall be installed at as many as 12 different manholes and removed after construction completion.

2.06 30 m construciton fence to safeguard cable trenches of section „General Mobilization of Construction Site“, from the storage site to the area of the trenches to be built, shall be transported, installed on paved/unpaved surface, flat/inclined, removed after completion of the digging work and transported to the storage site. In sections according to the user’s directions. The fence shall be protected by means of bracings in a way to ensure stability at an increased wind load.

Title 3.00 Earthwork 3.01 7 cbm topsoil shall be excavated, average excavation thickness 10 cm, and stored at the side in stacks.

3.02 35 cbm trenche for conduits and cables shall be excavated true to profile by machine excavation, soil class 3-5. Excavated soil shall be stored at the side and trench shall be backfilled in layers, graded and compacted after installation of the pipes and cables, excavation depth up to est. 0.80 m, bottom width of trenches up to

0.60 m. Excessive soil quantities, est. 25-40% become the contractor’s property and shall be diposed of at a suitable disposal site. Impediments by utility and disposal lines shall be included in the unit price.

3.03 5 cbm addition to the afroementioned soil movement for manual excavation.

3.04 7 cbm sand of grain size 0/2 mm, for embedding and covering the pipes in a thickness of 0.10 m underneath and above the pipes in entire width of the trench, including delivery, installation and compaction.

3.05 7 cbm topsoil temporarily stored on the construction site, shall be loaded, transported, installed true to profile 10 cm thick in the area of the cable route.

3.06 7 cbm topsoil, soil group 4 DIN 18915, shall be shall be delivered and placed in the area of the cable route true to profile.

Installation thickness 10 cm.

3.07 50 sqm fine subbase for lawn area, permissible deviation from evenness is 2 cm, stones of more than 5 cm in diameter and plant parts, which do not easily decay, shall be picked out, accumulating material shall be disposed of.

Soil group 4 DIN 18915.

3.08 50 sqm grass shall be seeded in the green area as amenity turf RSM

2.1 –Standard –seed quantity 25 g/sqm.

3.09 90 m use of a detector to locate cables and lines in the area of the cable route, exploration width est. 2 m, located lines shall be marked.

3.10 60 m cable marking tape of weather-resistant synthetic, color yellow, with lettering “Attention low voltage cable”, shall be delivered and installed est. 0.4 m above the cable.

3.11 120 m conduit system, consisting of PVC pipes DN 110, rigid, with adhesive sleeve and/or plug-in sleeve with insulation ring, with spacers each 3 m, installation next to each other, wall thickness 3.2 mm conforming to DIN 8026, shall be delivered in sections and installed between the cable manhole and the building and connected, including cutting of pipes and required fittings.

3.12 4 ea 45( bend DN 110, rigid, fitting the aforementioned conduit system, with adhesive sleeve and/or plug-in sleeve, with insulation ring, with spacers, installation next to each other, wall thickness 3.2 mm conforming to DIN 8026, shall be delivered, installed and connected.

3.13 5 ea safeguard of existing line crossings:

Line crossings with existing cable and pressure pipe lines up to DN 200 mm shall be safeguarded for the duration of the construction work. Only one crossing is charged if various cables or lines are located one underneath the other or if the lateral distance does not exceed 30 cm. If the lines are crossing the cable trench in an angle of more than 45 degrees, then one crossing is charged for each 1.50 m exposed line. Additional work for the exposure of lines by manual excavation as well as all other aggravated work conditions at support work, at pipe installations etc. shall be included in this unit price.

3.14 30 m safeguard of longitudinally running lines. Cables and lines of all kind up to DN 200 mm running longitudinally in the excavation area shall be explored and manually exposed for safeguarding. Additional work due to longitudinally running lines will be reimbursed in this Pos. when building the channel/cable trench. Thus only such lines shall be measured, which require additional work. Pure determination of the line route is included in Pos. Soil Excavation. Safeguard of these lines with installed grounding and cable marking tape shall be included in the unit price and shall be reimbursed as special work. Repairs due to damage as well as replacement of materials at reinstallation are to be borne by the contractor.

3.15 2 ea safeguard of individual breakup spots by installing four-sided barriers with “signs and warning beacons conforming to RSA”. Length of area to be safeguarded “est. 5 m on ways and roads with vehicle and pedestrian traffic”: devices shall be installed, provided, maintained, operated as long as the breakup spots exist and removed..

3.16 2 ea cables shall be entered into an existing manhole structure, consisting of:

- Opening of existing PUR boards, including disposal.

- Delivery and insertion of sealing packing, including all accessories fitting the DN 110 conduits

- For wall thickness of est. 200mm.

- Reseal after installation.

Title 4 Electrical Work 4.01 1100 m cleaning of the existing conduits before drawing –in, in sections of up to 150m, conduits PVC DN 110, removal of expanding foam in the required conduits. Cleaning by flushing. Water shall be furnished by the contractor. Removed material becomes the contractor’s property and shall be disposed of.

4.02 1100 m conduits DN 110-140 shall be checked for permeability by means of bellows in the presence of the user and/or the construction management, in sections of est. 30- 200m, including recording of test.

4.03 10 ea pumping off and cleaning of existing cable manholes including all support work, manholes: standard manholes of types K1 und K2 L x B x H = 2.5 x 1.5 x 2 m. Cleaning by flushing. Water shall be furnished by the contractor.

The removed material becomes the contractor’s property and shall be disposed of. Costs for providing and maintaining water for the time of the cable pull-in are to be borne by the contractor.

4.04 10 ea water of existing cable manholes shall be pumped off by means of a diesel pump and/or generator with electrical pump, clear dimension, est. LXWXH 2.50X1.50X2.00 m, costs for providing and maintaining water for the time of the cable pull-in are to be borne by the contractor.

4.05 10 ea existing cable pull manholes shall be opened for pulling the cables, frame and cover shall be cleaned, greased and closed again after installation of the cables, including safeguarding of access according to UVV (accident prevention code) during the entire construction measure, cover est. 140x70 cm, two-lid, class D (overall performance cable installation, sealing and labeling etc. Is only paid once; costs for repeated opening are to be borne by the contractor) 4.06 10 ea, the required penetrations in the existing manholes shall be freed of foam and prepared for the installation of the cables.

4.07 8 m fence, movable on paved/unpaved surface, consisting of individual elements with galvanized tubular steel frame and grid, with footings, upper edge of fence shall be 1.00 m above ground, shall be provided and maintained and later removed.

The measures are required at work performance in the area of est. 12 manholes and must be provided and maintained.

4.08 1 ea traffic regulation by installing, providing and maintaining, relocating and removing illuminated turn signal lights, warning, inidcation, mandatory and prohibition signs and required direction indicator barricades with heavy footing. If necessary, an employee with the corresponding equipment must be assigned to regulate the traffic. The measures are required in the area of est. 12 manholes and must be provided and maintained.

4.09 2 ea temporary walkways as aluminum structure, layer aluminum, side protection, both sides with handrail, useful width 2 m, construction length 2.5 m, shall be made, provided, maintained and removed.

4.10 100 ea cable labels of synthetic, dimensions est. 8x5 cm, color orange, laminated, with self-adhesive PVC-membrane, captive fastening with cable ties.

4.11 25 ea cable hangers with synthetic brackets fitting the cable mounting rail, profile 70/28 mm, type KH 20, dimensions est.

LXWXH est. 210X140X90, shall be delivered complete and mounted.

4.12 60 m tube bundles to protect communications and optical fiber cables, quintuple, 1xDN40, 2xDN32, 2xDN25, of PEHD (polyethylene of high density), conforming to DIN 8975, for multiple tubing of cable conduits, in sections of est. 30-200m, shall be delivered and pulled-in in existing pipes DN 110, including suitable cable pulling device, lubricant and required accessories.

4.13 2 ea sealing plugs, quintuple, to seal and fix the inner tube bundles, for insertion in cable conduits DN 110, fitting the aforementioned tube bundles.

4.14 10 ea sealing caps to seal the individual tubes of the tube bundle, for pipe diameter 25-40 mm, fitting the aforementioned tube bundles.

4.15 10 ea end fittings to seal the individual tubes of the tube bundle at grouping of pipes, for pipe diameter 25-40 mm, fitting the aforementioned tube bundles.

4.16 2 ea seal rings to seal the cables in the pipes impermeable to water, as divided packed seal, for insertion in pipes and/or drill holes, for pipe interior meter 101 – 104 mm, for various cables, cable diameter 10-85 mm, including system-oriented accessories shall be delivered and mounted.

4.17 2 ea tube bundles and/or pipe entries in the manhole and in the buildings shall be sealed impermeable to water with a sealing compound (foam) for wells.

4.18 2 ea sealing packing, square form, of aluminum alloy, consisting of flange, seal and fastening elements, flange est. 235 x 235 mm, flange thickness 57 mm, for subsequent sealing, including system cover with 1 stub for conduit DN

110, including thermal sleeve and sealing, shall be delivered and skillfully mounted.

4.19 10 ea documentations of manholes shall be performed as follows:

Digital recordings shall be made with reflex camera, depending on the requirement with macro and/or wide angle of the manhole walls and the access area. Illumination shall be furnished and maintained as and when required to record the documentation including required projectors and emergency generating sets. Photos shall be taken of each manhole wall such that all conduits in use/not in use are visible. The photo to be taken of the access shall be made such that the topographies with environment is visible and the manhole can be located by means of that photo.

The photos shall be taken with at least 5.0 million pixel. Furthermore a table with manhole name and performance description shall be inserted in each individual photo. The digital picture files shall also be denominated. Coordination with the user is required. All picture files shall be kept in an excel list comprising the manhole name and the names of the photos. This data file is mandatory. Billing per manhole regardless of the number of pictures taken.

In addition to the picture documentation manholes shall be measured and each manhole wall shall be shown on a drawing in a manner that all conduits with their number of tubing become visible, designation and type of cables shall be recorded and noted in the drawing.

4.20 2 ea protection covers made of stainless steel, folded, as rectangular casing, open to the bottom and on the backside, to the top an opening fitting exactly an armored conduit of aluminum M25. For wall installation, laterally folded, with 4 ea drilled holes M12. Dimensions est.

HxWxD = 400x150x150. Installation shall be effected on the exterior wall made of concrete, lower edge = est.

- 10 cm above ground surface.

4.21 1100 m fiber-optic outdoor cable, 12 fibers, type: A-DQ (ZN)B2Y 36 E 9/125, longitudinally watertight, non-metallic rodent protection and strain relief, uncut, shall be furnished and pulled in and/or air-blown in sections into existing cable conduit routes with cable pull vaults, distances of vaults est. 50 to 200 m, including providing and maintaining the required air-blow and pull-in device and system-oriented accessories.

4.22 150 m addition for fiber optic outdoor cable A-DQ (ZN)B2Y

12 E 9/125, shall be mounted with U-clamps on mounting rails.

4.23 250 m fiber-optic outdoor cable, 36 fibers, type: A-DQ (ZN)B2Y 36 E 9/125, longitudinally watertight, non-metallic rodent protection and strain relief, uncut, shall be furnished and pulled in and/or air-blown in sections into existing cable conduit routes with cable pull vaults, distances of vaults est. 50 to 200 m, including providing and maintaining the required air-blow and pull-in device and system-oriented accessories.

4.24 10 m addition for fiber-optic outdoor cable A-DQ (ZN)B2Y

36 E 9/125, shall be mounted with U-clamps on mounting rails.

4.25 8 ea installed optic-fiber cables shall be entered into existing buildings and cabinets on site, with fastening for strain relief, cables with up to 36 fibers E9/125.

4.26 100 ea cable labels of synthetic material, with inserted labeling strip and transparent cover, captive fastening with cable binders, with durable typed lettering of the building/room and connection numbers according to the directions by the party ordering, shall be delivered and installed on cables existing on site in the distribution cabinets/racks.

4.27 30 ea cable labels of synthetic material, with transparent cover, captive fastening with cable binders, with durable lettering according to the directions by the party ordering, shall be delivered and installed on cables existing on site in the distribution cabinets/racks, brand such as Anixter type VCT-200Y or 201N.

4.28 85 sqm addition for cable/pipe installation in buildings, for installation in raised floors including opening, closing and cleaning.

4.29 1 ea fiber-optic branch sleeve, suitable for installation in cable manholes, watertight, for installation of up to 6 fiber-optic outdoor cables:

Inlet 1 ea fiber-optic outdoor cable 36 E9/125

Outlet 3 ea fiber-optic outdoor cables 12 E 9/125

4 ea splicing cassettes for the accommodation of 12 splice connections including cassette holder, splice holder, splice protection and all required system accessories. 36 fusion splicers shall be made for fiber-optic cables. The work comprises all cable work including all incidental work. The branch sleeve must be suitable for reopening for installation of splices at a later time.

4.30 6 ea fiber-optic patch panels of 19-inch design for

19-inch frame mounting, equipped with 12 fiber-optic

Duplex SC barrel couplers including fiber-optic splice distributor with splice cassette, splice holder and splice protection for 12 fibers.

As drawer design, telescopic.

6 ea Duplex SC plugs with pigtail I-VY 9/125 6 ea blind caps

12 ea fusion splicers for fiber-optic outdoor/indoor cables

4.41 5 ea sheathed cables NYM 1 x 16 sqmm shall be entered into the aforementioned 19-inch distribution cabinet and connected with the potential bus ready for operation.

4.42 5 ea sheathed cables NYM 1 x 16 sqmm shall be connected with the potential bus by means of cable bracket ready for operation.

4.47 7 ea 19-inch distribution panel, one height unit, with 25 plug-in places, for plug-in connection, shielded, up to

100 MHz, made of steel sheet, coated, with strain relief and grounding device, manufacturer/type at contractor’s choice, as telephony distribution panel, with 8-pole RJ 45-jacks, 2 terminal pins assigned (pin 4 and pin 5), with LSA-Plus-component mounting technology, design CAT3, EN 50173 and ISO/IEC 11801, with permanent lasting, typed labeling (Building number, incoming/outgoing cable designation, wire designation), shall be delivered and installed. Panel number corresponds to CAT6-panel, including grounding connection.

4.48 7 ea existing communications distribution panels for 25 pairs incoming and 25 pairs outgoing, shall be carefully disconnected in agreement with the US and determination of the connection situation and dismantled, dimension est. H+

W = 300x250 mm.

4.49 7 ea US-furnished compact communications distribution panels, for 25 pairs, as controlled incoming terminal, with terminal clamps for incoming, Type 710, and outgoing communication lines, Type 66 Blocks, including all required accessories, H/W/D = est. 31/32/11 cm, shall be mounted ready for operation and with labeling as directed by the COM shop, as engraved Resopal label, with building number, indication of incoming/outgoing cable, indication of wires. This work shall be coordinated with US-

COM.

4.50 175 ea US-furnished overvoltage protection as 5 Pin Protection Module for the aforementioned controlled incoming terminal, shall be installed ready for

4.53 300 m halogen-free installation cable DIN VDE 0815 J-H

(ST) H 25 x 2 x 0.6, shall be installed on cable tray, in pipes or open ducts.

4.54 7 ea entering and connection of communications line J-

H(ST)H 25 x 2 x 0.6, on the CAT-3 panel in the 19-inch distribution unit.

4.55 7 ea reflection measurement shall be performed conforming to EN 50137/188000 wavelength 1550 for optic-fiber paths with 12 fibers in both directions, with involvement of the optic-fiber jacks and plugs, including furnishing 200 m launching and tracking path. Delivery of the graphical test records, billed per cable.

The test records shall be submitted to the ordering party on CD In pdf format NLT 1 week prior to acceptance.

Furthermore the test records must include the following information:

· Indication of used instruments

· Date of metering

· Name and signature of tester

All lines to the US-Telephone and LAN-outlets shall be installed behind the distribution cabinets with an additional length of 2 m for cross connections.

Note:

The installation instructions by the manufacturer, here above all else the maximum admissible bending radii, shall be observed by all circumstances when installing the data cable specified in the following. Damages of the cable, due to noncompliance to the electrical features according to Category 6, which were caused by improper installation are to be borne by the contractor. All lines to the

US-telephone and LAN-outlets shall be installed with an additional length of 2 m for cross connections.

4.56 1100 m CAT6 cable SF/UTP with guaranteed threshold values ,conforming to ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173, DIN EN

50288-5-1, 4 x 2 x AWG 24, halogen-free, with foil screen and additional braided shield, for wiring systems of class E, category 6, for frequencies up to 300 MHz, shall be furnished and installed in sections by pulling in into existing pipes/ducts, on existing cable runs/troughs or with U-clamps.

4.57 300 m data cable with standard line group fastening, shall be installed, all else as specified before.

4.58 28 ea data connection box, duplex, with oblique outlet, for shielded LAN-wiring with S-FTP cable, category 6, suitable for transmission up to 250 MHz (class E) on all pairs conforming to EN 50173, surface-mounted, for plug RJ 45, with LASA-Plus or SID-connection terminals, including surface-mounted casing with marking space and hinged cover, IP 44, including typed labeling shall be delivered, mounted and connected ready for operation.

4.59 56 ea testing of EDP-transmission paths with all involved inactive components as proof of the compliance with link-specification application class “4-pair Class D” for networks with components of category 6, according to the standard proposal of the ISO/IEC 11801 Class D, for 250

MHz on all 4 pairs. The required measuring and testing instruments shall be provided and maintained.

Measurements must be performed up to a frequency of 250 MHz.

Transmission path:

Patch cable (5m) -> distribution module-> installation cable -> connection box at workstation.

Test scope:

Measurement according to permanent-link method (channel metering is permitted as alternative).

To measure the transmission paths a 5 m long jumper chord of Category 6 shall be connected to the plug connector of the path to be measured in each cross-connection panel including the corresponding plug connector and shall be included in the measurement.

The measurements shall be performed continuously or in discrete frequency steps. 100 test points per frequency decade (0.1 – 1 MHz; 1 – 10 MHz; etc.) shall be performed if measurement is not performed continuously. Measurement points with a measurement distance of 100 KHz across the overall measurement range are also possible as an alternative. The following values must be assessed as measurement result:

· attenuation

· near-end crosstalk attenuation

· ACR

· dc resistance (loop resistance)

· cable length

· short circuit/cable disruption

· pin assignment

· voltage standing wave ratio

· wave resistance The measurement of the near-end crosstalk attenuation must be performed from both sides of the measurement path. All results shall be presented in a test record. The records shall be submitted with the as-built drawings. 1 x as hard copy and 3 x as PDF-files on CD-ROM.

Frequency-dependent measurement results shall be charted as measured curve. Furthermore the test records shall include the following information:

· Designation of used instruments

· Date of metering

· Name and signature of tester 4.60 180 m NHXMH-J halogen-free house wiring line 3 x 2.5, Cu-number 43, shall be delivered and installed in sections on existing cable troughs in suspended ceilings in a height of

4 m.

4.61 90 m NHXMH-J halogen-free house wiring line 3 x 2.5, Cu-number 43, shall be delivered and installed in sections on vertical riser routes on paneled walls including the required U-clamps.

4.62 80 m NHXMH-J halogen-free house wiring line 3 x 2.5, Cu-number 43, shall be delivered and installed in sections in suspended ceilings in a height of 4 m.

4.63 600 cbm addition addition for opening and closing suspended grid ceilings in the area of the cable route. The grid ceilings are equipped with additional insulation blankets and must be relocated and reinstalled for the installation of the cable. Repeated opening and closing of the grid ceilings shall be included and will not be separately paid for.

Cleaning of floor after again closing the grid ceiling shall be included in the price.

4.64 200 m synthetic pipe, pluggable, VDE 0605, DIN 49 020, DIN 57 605, for heavy mechanical load, nominal size M25, open installation, with spacer clamps, clamp distance at maximum = 25times pipe diameter, shall be delivered and mounted in a professional manner.

4.65 105 m cable channel 20/20, color white, shall be delivered in sections and mounted including the required cutting work.

4.66 150 m cable channel 40/60, color white, shall be delivered in sections and mounted including the required cutting work.

4.67 160 m aluminum armored conduit, pluggable, VDE 0605, DIN 49 020, DIN 57 605, for heavy mechanical load, nominal size M25, open installation, with spacer clamps and end support sleeves, clamp distance at maximum

= 25times pipe diameter, shall be delivered in sections and mounted in a professional manner.

4.68 20 m synthetic armored conduit EN 25 flexible, corrugated, for heavy mechanical load,ASCF, be delivered and mounted in a professional manner.

4.69 14 ea connection boxes DIN VDE 0606 made of insulation material, as junction box, floor area up to 100 mm x 100 mm, with screw cover, protection mode IP 54, with 6 self-sealing glands, with required plug-in terminals 1 to 2.5 sqmm, for surface-mounting, shall be delivered mounted on concrete ceilings and connected in a professional manner.

The connection boxes shall be lettered with labels, well visible and mounted in a permanent lasting manner.

4.70 50 ea holes shall be drilled in concrete wall or ceiling with reinforcement, thickness of ceilings and/or walls up to 30 cm, installation height up to 3.50 m.· Diameter of drilling hole up to 20 mm; delivery to the location and/or draining and catching of cooling water as well as removing ridges and edges with a chisel are included in the scope of work. Accumulating rubble shall be removed IAW the prefatory remarks.

4.71 5 liter intumescent firestop compounds, e.g. to seal annular gaps and construction part joints, for flammable lines up to Da= 50 mm and/or for metal pipes up to Da = 160mm, for flue gas-proof R90-desing, to prevent transmission of fire and smoke, performance according to the manufacturer’s directives and conformity certification, shall be delivered and installed in the drilling holes.

Brand: Hilti CP 611 A or equal.

4.72 7 ea connections of rigid and flexible lines up to 5 x 2,5 sqmm on existing units, distribution panels and junction boxes, including all cable entries and all accessories.

4.73 7 ea connections of lines in existing subdistribution panels including all cable entires and all system-oriented accessories.

The existing distribution panels shall be prepared for the connection of lines. For the connection of the lines in the distribution panels, the distribution panels shall shall be disconnected from the supply, safe isolation from supply shall be verified. Circuit isolation shall be safeguarded to prevent unintentional reclosing, shall be clearly protected and brought again into circuit, the distribution panels shall be cleaned.

4.74 7 ea circuit breakers DIN 43 880 and DIN VDE 0641, nominal circuit voltage 400 V AC, with terminal cover on both sides, 1-pole, switching capacity 10 kA, tripping characteristics B, rated current up to 16 A. Required wiring material shall be included. Shall be furnished, installed in two different distribution panels and labeled. The circuit breakers shall be selected matching the built-in parts in the existing distribution panels; the existing distribution panels are equipped with Siemens circuit breakers.

4.75 30 ea switchboard terminal strip connections with designation strips including internal wiring conductor cross section 2,5 sqmm (phase, zero, PE) for the connection of the new feeder cable to the fire doors, shall be delivered, mounted and connected ready for operation.

4.76 42 ea cable links, flexible, for the electrical connection of protection equipments 16 sqmm , length up to 350 mm shall be delivered including cable lugs and connected ready for
